Before You Give Up… Try This

“What true patience is, is knowing that you want it, and knowing that it’s coming, and actually enjoying the unfolding along the way.” 💓 Esther Hicks Patience. Rest. Solitude. Inspiration. This week’s Giggly Witches episode we discussed the “Not Self” themes in human design. The funky feels that show up when we’re not in alignment. (Mine’s frustration… And I can confirm how completely accurate that is lol) ➡️ So what do we need when we’re out of alignment? 😞 When we feel like we’re doing everything “right” and it’s not working. 😭 When it feels hard, while everyone makes it look so easy. 🤬 When we’re straight up hustling and not seeing the progress we expected or “should” Let’s take a hot sec… Because our purpose in life is to be hot and have fun here in the Hot Witch Club 😏 And if we can’t enjoy the journey to getting everything we ever wanted… We’re going to be hella disappointed when we get there and it doesn’t magically “fix” everything and make us perfectly happy and fulfilled. Funny thing about us humans… We’re constantly moving the goal posts anyways. But that’s because it’s FULFILLING to work towards the things we want. So if the inspiration, patience, resilience, motivation to keep going is running dry… Let me offer you my own favorite ways to recoup the well of go-getter, magical, ALIVE af energy… ➡️ When patience is no where to be found… Go on a rampage. Go on with ya bad self. Get out all the complaints, frustrations, resentments and worries that it’ll never happen. Burn or tear up that sh*t if you wanna get witchy with it. Now that you’ve had a big release, time to fill up the well. Use visualization, journaling, or tapping to refresh and reclaim your trust in the universe. Ask for guidance. Trust the next steps are coming. ➡️ Rest. Look, sometimes we DO need a day for mindless television and scrolling if we’ve been pressuring ourselves to make ALL of our time useful in some way. (If you already do this too much, maybe this part isn’t for you 😂) Take a nap. Go to bed earlier. Sleep in. Make sh*tty arts n crafts. Go for a leisurely walk. Light every candle in your room and eat fruit in bed. Read (fiction!!). Be absolutely useless for 2 hours or 2 days or what the heck 2 weeks. ➡️ Solitude. Look, I’m alone a lot. It’s easy for me. No kids. No husband. I’ve been a solo digital nomad for 2.5 years. I get it. But I can’t emphasize ENOUGH the power of being alone. If you can plan a weekly or even monthly solo date… I STG your life will completely change. Do the things that scare you to do alone… You’ll never feel more alive!!! Go out to eat. A museum. The movies. Paint in the park. Read at a coffee shop. Be deliciously present. People watch. Keep a journal handy because you’re going to be inspired. ➡️ Inspiration. And this, my beautiful friends, is all the recipe for INSPIRATION. For the next steps unfolding on your journey. For incredible clarity on what you want to have, be, do and create in your life. it's time for an experiment

Let me take you back to the year 2019… It’s December. Those liminal days between Christmas and New Years that it feels like the world is in a sort of haze. I’m cozied up in my favorite chair in the living room of my childhood home. I’m exhausted. Burnt out. And dreading returning to LA to my retail job that I’m commuting 60-90 minutes each way… and barely scraping by on. My laptop is propped up on my lap. A million and three tabs open as I scour Indeed for a halfway decent new job that won’t make me moan and drag my feet out of bed each morning. A job that I have next-to-none qualifications for catches my eye for a company called “Manifestation Babe” The company description fascinated me and I immediately looked them up on socials. Spoiler alert: Yes, I applied. No, I didn’t get the job. But this was the first time I had heard of this thing “manifestation” and… something lit up in me. I started to DEVOUR every piece of Kathrin’s content (Manifestation Babe!!), find books, other podcasts and every freebie I could get my hand’s on. And on that fateful new year’s ringing in 2020 (oh boy, we didn’t know what was coming lol)… I vowed to start an experiment. “I’m all in on manifestation this year.” To learn as much as possible. To integrate as much as possible. To believe in myself as much as possible. The worst that could happen was nothing changed… (and I mean, that was a pretty f*cking miserable option to me, so… I had nothing to lose.) Well… By December 2020 (a year later) * I had left that retail job and was full time in my own business * I had moved to a dreamy beach bungalow with an ocean view * I was working with dream clients, starting to travel more, had the coolest projects coming to life, and best of all… * I felt f*cking… good. So… I want to challenge YOU to start an experiment of your own this year!!! What if you went all-in, full-throttle, pedal-to-the-motherf*cking-metal on yourself. What could happen in a year?! P.S. EVERYTHING we do in the Hot Witch Scripting Club is EVERYTHING I did during my big experiment year (and have continued to do since then!!) the BEST thing you can do heading into the new year is…

the BEST thing you can do heading into the new year is… FORGIVE. YOURSELF… * for the s**t that you thought would be different by this time this year * for the goals you didn’t reach * for the habits you didn’t keep * for the things that feel worse than before * for letting another year pass you by without insert expectations here (Scroll down for my best forgiveness tools!) Here me out… What if… We took a deep breath together… (Seriously, please take a deep breath… I am as I write this!!) What if… We let the past be the past. We decided it didn’t define us. Or mean anything about what’s possible THIS year. What if… We started with a clean slate. A skip in our step. A heart brimming with inspiration. And a mind willing to believe that what we dream of is not only possible… but probable. WOULDN’T THAT BE FUN? So, back to this whole forgiveness thing. Here are some of my favorite tools to recognize where I’m feeling shame, resentment and guilt built up, and how I let that sh*t go… * Ho’oponopono Meditations (Look this up on YouTube and thank me later!) * Rant journal rituals (Write all of your negativity down and tear up the paper or burn it (carefully!)) * EFT Tapping (A simple, yet powerful subconscious reprogramming technique. Here’s a great one for healing your belief in yourself) Give these a try. Find what resonates with you the most. Rinse and repeat. FLIRT WITH THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD

It's Friday and you know what that means hot witches… Friday is ruled by Venus so it's THE day to FLIRT with the WHOLE WIDE WORLD. Wear your hottest outfit. Go on a date or call up the girlies for giggles and bevvies. Here's your invitation to stand up a little taller, strut down the street with a little extra sexy sway in those hips. Wear the bold lipstick. And goddamnit, stop saving your favorite outfit for a special day. Layer up the jewels!! Wear the heels!! IDGAF, feeling flirty and fun and hot looks different to all of us, but really what I want you to do is… ROMANTICIZE THE EVER-LIVING-F*CK out of life today!! (And I mean… invitation to do this EVERYDAY, obviously!!) I'm going to be bopping to my favorite flirty playlist that makes me feel like I’m in a movie… Ye Ye Sixties French Pop (click here for the link) and going on a longgg delicious walk in my neighborhood here in Mexico City. I'm going to sit in the park and write poetry. Take a million pictures of every flower and mural that puts me in complete awe of life. (There's so many murals here!!). Make eye contact with every stranger and smile so big they feel the love of the universe beaming at them. And you bet your @ss I'm wearing something flirty and fun that swishes when I walk, DUH!! Whether it's today or sometime this weekend I hope you can find a little time for YOU. I’m already rereading this book… The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success by Deepak Chopra, and I was struck by the importance of stillness and isolation when it comes to creation. Creating a work of art. Creating more peace and healing. Creating our life. If you've been feeling a disconnect… from your intuition, creativity, spirituality… your self. (I think it's all the same channel, tbh.) This is your sign to prioritize aloneness. No distractions. Drinking in life. Welcoming the full spectrum of thoughts, emotions and ideas that flood through you without judgement. Give yourself the space to dream. Give yourself the space to doubt. (This is important information!!) Give yourself the space to fall in love with yourself and this one delicious life we've all been given. And the power we have to create it. Let's make the most of it, witches. I love you. Viva la Vida

Viva la Vida Long Live Life. Frida’s famous last brushstrokes. A woman with a life so full of tragedy and pain we couldn’t have blamed her if she crawled into the darkness, angry and alone, and stayed there. But she ran towards it. Transmuted it. Created some of the world’s greatest works of art with it. Visiting her home last week… I felt her. Even after her death her energy is all consuming. Fills your heart and your soul until it bursts. Tears streaming down your face. I stood in front of this painting. The watermelons. Viva la Vida And waves of gratitude, heartbreak, laughter, anguish… poetry washed over me. Time stood still as I stared and stared. And stared. Other visitors stepping around me. (Seeing me fighting back tears, probably wondering… “What is she going through?”.) I felt decades of my own grief transmuting into overwhelming joy. To be alive. To be here. To have the gift of a healthy body and wildly open heart ready to say yes, yes, YES to it all.. “I want to live life to the fullest.” Yes, the fullest. And what is love without heartbreak. What is joy without grief. What is pleasure without pain. 15 years ago stumbling down the shoreline of a clear Wisconsin lake gently rippling in the cool breeze… Barefoot. Beer in hand. The sun beginning to rise. Whispering drunken musings to a boy with bloodshot eyes. “I want to live life to the fullest.” I knew then what it would mean.
