    Owning Your Ego Desires...

    In this episode, I’m coming to you from my newly set-up studio space, sharing some deeply honest reflections about what happens when ego desires get cloaked in spiritual language BS. I want you to feel invited to explore this with me, because it’s such an important conversation. A few weeks ago, I was frustrated, okay, super frustrated, about how a certain influential voice in the spiritual world (Aubrey Marcus) has tried to redefine sacred union to justify personal ego desires. I needed to take a breath, pause, and really process before sharing this with you, because I was pissed, and I wanted to come from a more grounded place while still calling out this mixed messaging and, frankly, what I see as a trend of spiritual cloaking over harmful behaviours. Here, you’ll hear me break down the difference between soul desires (which are about states of being) and ego desires (which are about things or experiences). Both are valid, as long as you own them honestly and don’t try to mask them as some enlightened quest. In this episode, you’ll hear about: - How to spot when your desires come from ego versus your soul - Why sacred union matters and why we shouldn’t twist it to suit our egos - The harm of spiritual teachers projecting their desires onto others - Why it’s crucial to hold integrity, honesty, and clear boundaries in relationships - How to trust your own truth and protect yourself from spiritual manipulation This conversation is a heartfelt invitation to get radically honest about your desires, without shame, and to question when someone tries to sell you an ego-driven agenda wrapped up in spiritual words.     If you're anything like me, you were that mystic-type kid. The one who didn’t quite fit the mainstream norms. Who was a little too deep, a little too intuitive, a little too magical and a lot of woo. And if this wasn’t you, chances are you knew someone just like that growing up. Being a highly sensitive, magical, intuitive, or spiritual child can be incredibly isolating. So when I picked up a copy of the book Wise Child and started reading, my little self felt seen on those pages before me. As I read, I learned more about supporting my children on a deeper level, but a little piece of young Kerriann healed, too. This book is all things past life parenting, and it’s redefining how we approach the new waves of children who (I believe) are here to change the way we’ve always done things, to shift the paradigm and raise the vibration of love and consciousness on this planet. In this week’s episode of What I Know to Be True So Far, I had the absolute joy of sitting down with the author Amy Molloy. A journalist, editor, creator of the hit podcast The Space, and founder of LightWriter Media. Amy’s work has touched millions, and getting to sit down over Zoom a couple of months ago to pick her brain was such a treat. I’m so excited to finally share this episode with you!
