Power of Imagination Part 2: REFRAME.1

THE ACTIVATE RADIO SHOW WITH PASTOR OBI EPISODE 2: REFRAME — When God Changes the Way You See the Problem What if the problem has not changed because you are still looking at it through the same old lens? Sometimes, the breakthrough we need does not begin with a change in our circumstances. It begins when God changes the way we understand them. Welcome to Episode 2 of The Power of Imagination series on The Activate Radio Show with Pastor Obi — REFRAME! In Episode 1, SEE AGAIN, we explored the importance of recovering the God-given eyes of the mind and learning to look again at situations we may have misunderstood, overlooked, or accepted as impossible. Now, we take the next step: REFRAME — changing the way we interpret what we see. A problem can look permanent when viewed through the lens of fear. A closed door can look like rejection when viewed through disappointment. A limitation can look like the end when viewed through yesterday’s assumptions. But what happens when God invites us to ask a different question? In this powerful episode, Pastor Obi explores how a change in perspective can open the door to possibilities we could not previously recognise. Through biblical insight, practical wisdom, and a remarkable real-life example from the Apollo 13 mission, we discover that sometimes the breakthrough begins when we stop asking, “Why is this happening?” and start asking, “What can we do with what we have?” We will explore the story of the man at Bethesda, who had lived with his condition for thirty-eight years, and examine how deeply our questions, assumptions, and familiar ways of thinking can shape the possibilities we recognise. We will also consider the Tower of Babel and the difference between changing a situation and changing the way we approach it. IN THIS EPISODE, YOU WILL DISCOVER: Why seeing a problem differently can reveal possibilities you previously missed. The difference between changing the circumstances and changing your approach. How assumptions can become invisible barriers to progress. Why asking better questions can lead to better solutions. How to challenge familiar thought patterns without denying reality. How to move from frustration and limitation towards faith-filled, practical action. REFLECTION: What situation have you accepted as impossible simply because you have always looked at it the same way? DIAGNOSIS: Are you responding to the facts of your situation, or are you also being controlled by assumptions, fear, past disappointments, and familiar patterns of thinking? APPLICATION: Identify one challenge in your life. Write down how you currently see it, challenge the assumptions behind that perspective, and ask God to help you see what you may have overlooked. Then ask: What is another way to approach this? YOUR ACTIVATE CHALLENGE: This week, choose one recurring problem and deliberately reframe it. Change the question. Challenge the assumption. Look for a possibility you have not considered. Pray, seek wise counsel, and take one practical step towards a solution. WEEKLY CONFESSION — I SEE POSSIBILITIES! I refuse to be imprisoned by old perspectives. God is renewing my mind and enlarging my understanding. I will not deny reality, but neither will I allow reality to limit what I believe God can do. I receive wisdom to ask better questions, courage to challenge unhelpful assumptions, and grace to recognise possibilities I once overlooked. My mind is being renewed, my perspective is changing, and I am moving forward in faith and wisdom. Scripture: Romans 12:2; Ephesians 1:17–18; Proverbs 3:5–6 (NKJV). ACTIVATE MIC DROP: The breakthrough you are praying for may begin with a question you have never asked and a perspective you have never considered. Remember: The breakthrough is on the other side of a reframe! If this episode challenges, encourages, or inspires you, please LIKE, SHARE, and SUBSCRIBE to The Activate Radio Show with Pastor Obi. Power of Imagination Part 1: SEE AGAIN.3

THE ACTIVATE RADIO SHOW WITH PASTOR OBI EPISODE 1: SEE AGAIN — Recovering the God-Given Eyes of the Mind Have you ever looked at a situation and concluded there was no way forward, only to discover later that you had overlooked something important? Sometimes, the problem is not that there is nothing to see. The problem is that we have stopped looking. Welcome to Episode 1 of The Power of Imagination series on The Activate Radio Show with Pastor Obi — SEE AGAIN! Imagination is more than daydreaming. Properly understood, it is part of our God-given capacity to picture possibilities, consider what could be, and recognise opportunities beyond our immediate circumstances. But when our thinking is governed by fear, disappointment, routine, or assumptions, we can become blind to possibilities that may have been in front of us all along. In this opening episode, Pastor Obi invites you to recover the eyes of your mind, challenge familiar assumptions, and learn the importance of looking again. Through the story of Israel at Marah in Exodus 15:22–27, we discover a powerful moment: the people encountered bitter water, Moses cried out to God, and God showed him a tree. The water was still there. The crisis was real. But God revealed something Moses had not yet recognised. Sometimes, God does not begin by changing what is in front of you. He begins by showing you what you have not yet seen. This episode explores the relationship between imagination, attention, perception, and faith. We consider how our assumptions can influence what we notice, why we sometimes overlook solutions, and how a renewed perspective can help us respond differently to life’s challenges. IN THIS EPISODE, YOU WILL DISCOVER: Why imagination is more than fantasy and how it can help us recognise possibilities. How familiarity and assumptions can limit what we notice. Why it is important to distinguish between what is actually happening and the conclusions we have drawn about it. What the story of Marah teaches us about looking again when life becomes bitter. How to become more curious, attentive, and open to God’s direction. Practical ways to train your mind to recognise opportunities instead of focusing only on obstacles. REFLECTION: What have you stopped noticing because you have become too familiar with your situation? DIAGNOSIS: Have disappointment, fear, routine, or past experiences narrowed your perspective? Have you mistaken what you currently see for all that is possible? APPLICATION: Choose one situation that has been troubling you. Instead of immediately concluding that nothing can change, pause and pray: “Lord, what are You showing me? What have I overlooked? Is there another way to understand this situation?” Write down what you notice and identify one wise, practical step you can take. YOUR ACTIVATE CHALLENGE: This week, practise looking again. When you encounter a problem, resist the urge to settle for your first interpretation. Ask a better question, pay attention to overlooked details, explore another perspective, and remain open to God’s wisdom. WEEKLY CONFESSION — I HAVE EYES TO SEE! God is renewing my mind and awakening my understanding. I will not be limited by assumptions or blinded by familiarity. I choose to look again, think with wisdom, and recognise possibilities beyond my first impression. My heart is attentive to God’s direction, my mind is open to learning, and my imagination is being aligned with truth. I will see with greater clarity and respond with faith. Scripture: Ephesians 1:17–18; Romans 12:2; Exodus 15:25 (NKJV). ACTIVATE MIC DROP: You may have looked at the situation a hundred times. But what if the next time you look, you see something you have never seen before? LOOK AGAIN. GOD MAY BE SHOWING YOU SOMETHING YOU HAVE OVERLOOKED.
