Seen and Heard by God: Hagar's Story of Redemption

Car Conversations: Episode 5 In this powerful episode, we dive into the story of Hagar, the Egyptian servant who was seen and heard by God in her distress. We explore how Hagar encountered God as El-Roi—the God who sees—and how this divine encounter led to her redemption. Often overlooked in the story of Abraham and Sarah, Hagar's journey offers profound lessons on God's faithfulness and His promises to restore. We also reflect on the modern Christian experience, drawing parallels to Sarah's actions as she struggled with trusting God's timing, resorting to her own plans when answers seemed delayed. How often do we, like Sarah, create a "Plan B" when we grow weary of waiting on God's promises? Tune in to hear about Hagar's significance and how her story resonates with our own walks of faith.

Good Is A Standard That Only God Can Define

Car Conversations: Episode 4 Hi Family, in this episode, we delve into the profound nature of goodness as a defining characteristic of God. We explore how God's goodness is not just a quality but the ultimate standard by which all goodness is measured. Unlike human perceptions, which can be flawed or subjective, God's goodness is absolute, perfect, and unchanging. We reflect on how embracing this truth impacts our faith, especially during difficult times, and how studying His character not only helps us to grasp His divine standard of good but it also helps us trust in His plan, even when we face doubts. Join us as we unpack what it means to see God's goodness as the foundation for understanding His nature and our lives.

Unbelievers Don't Read The Bible, They Read You

Word on the street for this week? You are thee light of the world ‭Matthew 5:14-16 NLT‬ [14] “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. [15] No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. [16] In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

Christ As Our Champion | Hebrews 12:1-4

What is the word on the street for this week? Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, and run our race with endurance  Christ is our champion, he has already won and he has the victory. He is our trialblazer (a person who is the first to do something). Let us walk in this path that he has already set for us, looking to him and the work he finished on the cross. So remove those weights and obstacles that slow you down, and run your race with endurance. ‭‭ Hebrews‬ ‭12:1‭-‬4‬ ‭Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.  We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.  Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up. After all, you have not yet given your lives in your struggle against sin.
