    Is The News Cycle Becoming Unbearable?

    Why does it feel like everything is happening at once?Migrant protests, war, climate change, political division and a constant stream of frightening headlines seem to dominate the news every single day. No sooner have we started processing one crisis than another takes its place.In this video, I take a step back from the individual stories and look at the bigger picture: is the current news cycle becoming completely unbearable?Are we genuinely living through an unusually turbulent period, or are social media, 24-hour news and constant notifications simply making the world feel more chaotic than ever?And what does consuming this much bad news actually do to us? Is staying constantly informed helping us understand what is happening, or are we becoming exhausted, angry and increasingly numb to everything around us?This isn't about ignoring what's happening in the world. These issues matter.     In this video, I respond to the backlash from my recent discussion about immigration and the concerns being raised by people across Britain.My original point was simple: we have to get better at listening to people who are genuinely worried about immigration without immediately calling them racist. That doesn't mean agreeing with every argument about asylum seekers or immigration — it means being willing to have an honest conversation about why people feel the way they do.A video of a concerned mum talking about asylum seekers being housed in her town sparked a huge reaction online, and my attempt to discuss the issue with a bit more compassion and nuance was met with plenty of criticism.So why did the video upset so many people?
