S5E9: Narada's Pride: How a Poor Farmer Taught the Proudest Sage a Lesson

Narada, the wandering sage who's always singing "Narayan, Narayan," is sure he's the greatest devotee of Vishnu in the whole universe. So Vishnu takes him to Earth in disguise to meet someone surprising: a poor farmer. Neev and his mom follow Narada into a tiny hut with almost no food, where the farmer gives everything to two strangers, even his children's dinner. When Narada scoffs that the farmer only prays in his spare time, Vishnu hands him a bowl of oil, full to the brim, and a very simple challenge. Along the way, we meet Vishnu resting on the great serpent Shesha in the Ocean of Milk, learn what "Atithi Devo Bhava" means, and find out why this proud sage ended up with a famous book of teachings named after him. S5E8: Sudarshan Chakra: How Vishnu Got His Spinning Disc and Why Durvasa Ran

Where did Vishnu's spinning disc, the Sudarshan Chakra, come from? It starts with a thousand lotus flowers, a test from Shiva, and one flower that goes missing. Neev and his mom tell the story of how Shiva gave Vishnu the chakra, including a lesser-known version where Vishnu tests it on Shiva himself. Then the chakra goes to work, guarding King Ambarisha, a kind king keeping his Ekadashi fast. When the hot-tempered sage Durvasa turns up late for lunch and loses his temper over a single sip of water, the chakra chases him to Brahma, to Shiva, and to Vishnu himself. Along the way, we find out what "Sudarshan" means, why families watch the clock to break the Ekadashi fast, and how Vishnu and Shiva swap favorite leaves on Vaikuntha Chaturdashi. Perfect for kids, families, and anyone who loves Indian mythology and the stories of Vishnu. Send us a message or voice note Support the show New episodes drop every week. S5E7: Varaha: When Vishnu Became a Giant Boar to Lift the Earth From the Ocean

Why was the Earth at the bottom of the ocean, and why did Vishnu have to become a giant boar to bring it back? It all starts at a door. Four tiny, barefoot visitors walk up to Vishnu's home. They look like little kids, but they're some of the wisest sages in the universe. When Vishnu's two guards, Jaya and Vijaya, laugh at them and shut the gate, a curse sends the guards down to Earth as demon brothers. One of them, Hiranyaksha, drags the whole Earth to the bottom of the cosmic ocean. Neev and his mom follow the story from that seventh gate to a tiny boar that pops out of a sneeze, grows bigger than a mountain, dives into the deep, and carries Mother Earth home on his tusks. Along the way we find out how this story connects to Narasimha, Ravana, and Shishupala, why pilgrims at Tirumala visit the boar first, and how it leads all the way to Choti Diwali. S5E6: Garuda: The Giant Eagle Who Stole Immortality to Free His Mother

Where did Garuda, the giant eagle who carries Vishnu, come from? It starts with two sisters, a pure white horse, and a bet that was rigged from the start. When Kadru cheats her sister Vinata into becoming her servant, Vinata's son Garuda sets out to win her freedom. The price is the amrita, the nectar of immortality, locked away in heaven and guarded by Indra and every god he has. Follow Garuda as he blazes out of his egg, carries a branch full of thumb-sized sages, slips through a wheel of spinning blades, and stands up to Indra's thunderbolt. Along the way we find out why snakes have forked tongues, why the dawn sky glows pink, and why a statue of Garuda waits outside so many Vishnu temples. Perfect for kids, families, and anyone who loves Indian mythology, Vishnu stories, and myths about where things come from. S5E5: Why Do We Celebrate Onam? The Story of Vamana and Mahabali

The gods have lost heaven itself to the mighty demon king Bali, the most generous ruler who ever lived. So Vishnu comes down to help, and this time he arrives in his smallest form ever: Vamana, a little boy with a wooden bowl. At Bali's grand ceremony, where the king gives away anything anyone asks, Vamana requests something almost silly: just three steps of land. But when a promise is sealed and the tiny boy begins to grow, three steps turn out to be enough to cover the entire universe. A story about generosity, keeping your word, and the surprising homecoming that Kerala still celebrates every year as Onam. S5E4: Dhruva: The Boy Who Became the North Star

A little prince named Dhruva just wants to sit on his father's lap, but he's coldly told he doesn't belong there. Heartbroken, this tiny boy makes an enormous decision: he walks alone into the forest to find a place higher than any throne. With the help of the wandering sage Narada, Dhruva sits down to pray with a focus so complete it reaches the heavens themselves, until Lord Vishnu comes to meet him in person. A gentle, powerful story about steadiness, self-respect without hatred, and how the boy who was told he had no place was given the most permanent place in the whole sky: the North Star, still called Dhruva Tara today. Go outside and find it after you listen. Perfect for kids, families, and anyone who loves myth, culture, and timeless stories. S5E3: Gajendra, The Elephant and the Crocodile | A Vishnu Rescue Story

A proud king who loved God a little too much is cursed to be reborn as Gajendra, the mightiest elephant in the world.  One hot afternoon, he leads his herd into a beautiful lake for a drink — and a crocodile clamps onto his leg and won't let go. What follows is the longest tug-of-war imaginable, and a moment that turns the whole story around: when the strongest elephant alive finally runs out of strength, lifts a single lotus flower, and calls out to Vishnu for help.  A gentle, powerful episode about pride, surrender, and asking for help, ending with a rescue that frees not just the elephant but the crocodile too.  Perfect for kids, families, and anyone who loves myth, culture, and timeless stories.
