"It's about becoming the best version of yourself..." In this episode we’re joined by Andrea Lawton of Nantwich Functional Fitness, a gym built around making fitness more welcoming, accessible and inclusive for everyone. Andrea shares her own journey into health and fitness, how Nantwich Functional Fitness came about, and why creating a community has always been at the heart of what they do. From helping people overcome the fear of walking into a gym for the first time to making sure everyone feels seen, supported and encouraged, Andrea explains how a small gym can make a big difference. We talk about functional fitness, the importance of building strength and confidence at every age and ability, and the powerful impact exercise can have on mental wellbeing. Andrea also shares some incredibly personal stories about members whose lives have changed through their time at Nantwich Functional Fitness, including people who have regained their confidence, improved their health and found a sense of themselves again. This is a conversation about fitness, confidence, community and the importance of investing in yourself — and why sometimes the biggest step is simply walking through the door. From Nantwich to Ukraine. Again | Gary Fear

"The support I've had, I've just been incredibly, incredibly lucky, but I haven't raised the money. People have raised it for me." In this episode we’re joined by Gary Fear, an estate agent branch manager in Nantwich who has made regular journeys to Ukraine since the war began, delivering food and essential supplies to people living through the conflict. Gary has travelled back and forth into Ukraine several times, delivering more than £180,000 worth of food and helping thousands of families, with the support of an incredible local community in Nantwich and beyond. Gary talks openly about what he has witnessed, from air raid sirens and missile strikes to meeting families who have gone weeks without food. He shares the moments that have stayed with him, the people he worries about, what it feels like to return home and process everything he has seen, and why every trip is made in memory of Jordan Gatley. This is a powerful conversation about compassion, community, friendship and the difference one person, supported by many others, can make.
