Episode 1: "A Good Christian Guy"

Episode 1: "A Good Christian Guy" Welcome to the first episode of You’re Not Crazy, a podcast dedicated to bringing survivor stories into the light, exposing the complexities of abuse, and exploring the intersections of faith, trauma, and healing. In this debut episode, the Host Kendra and co-host Kass introduce listeners to Leigh, a woman who spent decades in an abusive marriage.  Leigh’s journey highlights the struggle of reconciling appearances with painful realities. She begins by sharing her first impressions of Jack, the man who would become her husband, and the early signs that hinted at the darker side of their relationship. You’re Not Crazy aims to validate survivor experiences and raise awareness about abuse in all its forms, including emotional, physical, and spiritual abuse.  Each episode offers insight not only through survivor stories but also through “Lessons Learned” segments that break down the tactics of abuse and follow-up discussions with experts, who offer a broader understanding of these issues. **Please note that many guests use pseudonyms for privacy, and the views shared in each episode reflect the personal experiences of each speaker and not necessarily the views of Kendra, Kass, or the podcast.  **Content warnings for Episode 1 include mentions of emotional, spiritual, and physical abuse, mental health issues, and harm toward animals.
