We are excited about 2025 and hope you are as well!  Sometimes, we tend to say yes to entirely too many opportunities or great commitments but overwhelm ourselves in the process, not recognizing that every yes we give is a no we must give somewhere else. In this episode, Paige talks about living within her limitations as a way she is recognizes that God is developing her emotional maturity.     In this episode Jess invites you into the middle of her current season, where she is navigating the inability to live in her comfort zone.  Typically Jess is someone who likes to have her ducks in a row, her budget balanced, and her vision casted. However, in this current season she is finding peace in the midst of discomfort as Jesus ask her if she is willing to simply take one moment at a time with Him.

    S1E4 Discovering, Defining, and Walking Out Our Convictions

    In the previous episode, Jess and Paige discuss the importance of following our convictions. In today's episode they continue that conversation while taking a deeper dive into the practical ways in which we discover, define, and walk out our convictions.  Jess shares about how this journey has played out around her convictions with alcohol, and Paige discusses her real-time examples of how this is applied for her regarding anger and frustration.     S1E2 Little by Little

    Welcome back!  In this week's episode Jess and Paige discuss how although our journey into Salvation is sudden and completely life changing, the journey of sanctification is often little by little healing, deliverance, and discovering our freedom in Christ.  Paige uses her freedom journey from anxiety as a launching pad for the conversation, and Jess discusses how her own current journey is establishing the reality of putting her hope in Jesus' faithfulness over time, even more so than her own faithfulness through time.  As mentioned in the first episode notes, these first two episodes were recorded on the same day and have a little more background noise than we anticipated. This is an audio hiccup that we get resolved in future episodes.  Thank you for your patience and mercy as we learn and grow together.

    S1E5 Oh for Grace to Trust Him More

    In this week's episode Paige invites you into the open and honest process of being in the middle of a journey with the Lord. Paige shares incredible vision that the Lord has given her and Jody for their family. Vision that is deeply planted into their hearts. She also goes on to explain how the current reality around her looks nothing like the future vision before her, and how trusting God for grace to get her through this season and into the next often has to be fought for. The joy of it all though is knowing that God is strengthening and training up her soul so that her mental, emotional, and spiritual health can be unwavering despite any circumstance in the days ahead.   Also, on a practical note, Jess and Paige discuss a very important PSA ... flushable wipes ARE NOT actually flushable... just in case you were wondering ;)  As always, we thank you for coming along on this journey with us and hope that this episode will help you dive into some deep places in your heart with Jesus, while also giving you a daily dose of some lighthearted laughs.

    Welcome! We are so glad you are hear. In this first episode Jess and Paige introduce themselves, discuss their "why" behind this podcast, and share some of their similarities and differences. This first episode we had some trouble with the audio, which means there is a little more background noise than anticipated. Stick with us - the good news about being a work in progress is, well, the progress - which is coming, we promise. Lastly, please enjoy a special guest appearance by Aletha Helms herself (the youngest of the Helms crew).  When you are in the middle of life, sometimes childcare doesn't work out - and you have to roll with it.  Which is exactly what we chose to do.     In this week's episode Jessica opens up discussing some of her recent wrestlings with the Word around conviction vs certainty. Join Jess and Paige in a discussion as they talk about their personal journey of having to stay true to their convictions even when it is really uncomfortable. We often desire the comfort of being certain in a decision before making it, however, faith by definition requires us to walk into what we cannot see. Jess uses a passage in scripture Holy Spirit has been revealing this to her through, and Paige shares how she experienced this reality in deciding to marry Jody all those moons ago.
