    NFL Wildcard Preview and Matchups

    Hopewell Valley Student Podcasting Network  Show Name: Pigskin Predictions Episode Title: Episode 9 Segment 1: Vikings(5) @ Rams(4) With a win against the Rams, the Vikings could have another shot at trying to beat the Lions in the 2nd Round.  The Vikings are coming off of a loss to the Lions for the number 1 seed. The Rams are on a hot streak of winning 9/12 straight games Segment 2: Chargers(5) @ Texans(4) The Chargers have scored the least points against them out of any NFL team this year. This means their defense will be trouble for the Texans who don't have many scary offensive players currently. Texans have lost 5 of their last 9 games, proving to be potentially fraudulent in the playoffs Quentin Johnston is coming off a big final game of the regular season with 13 receptions and 186 yards. If he can bring this into the playoffs, it would be huge for the Chargers. Segment 3: Fan Questions RT70- Where do you guys get your stats from? Segment 2: Risers Josh Allen 342 pass yards, 2 passing TD, 82 rush yards, 3 Rushing TD Biggest Fantasy Performance by a Quarterback ever Vikings WRs Jordan Addison 133 yards, 3 TD Justin Jefferson 132 yards, 2 TD Puka Nacua 12 receptions out of 14 targets, 162 yards, 2 Total Touchdowns, and led the rams to a big win over Buffalo with a final score of 44-42. 41.8 points Segment 3: Fallers DeAndre Swift:  He had a total of 5.0 points. 38 total rushing yards on 14 attempts.     Hopewell Valley Student Podcasting Network  Show Name: Pigskin Predictions Episode Title: Week 14 NFL Preview with Risers and Fallers Segment 1: Risers Bucky Irving Has Secured the starting role and accumulated 46 touches over the past 2 weeks.  Chase Brown  Owns the backfield, and 4 TD in last 5 Games. Good Game script against Dallas next week Jerry Jeudy:  Had a stellar game having 9 receptions out of his 13 targets with 235 total receiving yards and 1 touchdown. Was dominating the Broncos and put up 40.5 fantasy points. Terry McLaurin: Led the Commanders to a big win against the titans with a final score of 42-19. He had 8 receptions out of his 8 targets with 73 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns. Put up 27.3 total points for the week. Segment 2: Fallers Javonte Williams Jaleel McLaughlin was the starter Monday night for the Broncos and had 14 carries, as opposed to Williams’ 4. Javonte has been awful the past few weeks.  George Kittle: Major loss for the 49ers 35-10 against the Bills. Had only 1 reception for 7 yards and only putting up a measly 1.7 points. Christian McCaffrey Placed on IR, a season-ending knee injury, only had a few weeks Kyren Williams-In his last four games, he’s carried the ball 15 times in three of them and 16 in the other game, which are his four lowest totals of the season. He’s been a steady RB1 up until now. Segment 3: Chiefs @ Chargers BIG Pigskin Rivalry Chargers: Ladd McConkey is heating up and has been great all year for the Chargers with the most receiving yards out of all rookies. Justin herbert has been a leader and is playing some good ball recently. Hoping to get back this week.  CMC is back and he's having a good run. Hopefully, he can keep it up.  Segment 2: Ravens @ Chargers   Ravens have a must-win game after losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers the Chargers enter the game with momentum by securing a victory against the Bengals, highlighted by Justin Herbert's impressive performance. This game also has major playoff implications for both teams Justin Herbert: 297 passing yards, 2 touchdowns, no interceptions. Justin Herbert still only has 1 interception on the season Chargers are on 4 game winning streak Segment 3: Risers and Fallers Risers Taysom Hill- Taysom Hill rushed for 138 yards and three touchdowns on seven carries in the Saints 35-14 win over the Browns. He caught 8-of-10 targets for 50 yards. Jared Goff - 412 yards, 4 TDs, 21 rushing yards Amon-Ra St. Brown - 11 receptions, 161 yards, 2 touchdowns, 38.7 points leading a giant win over Jaguars. Fallers: Kirk Cousins - Bad loss to the Broncos and out by the 4th quarter Terry Mclaurin had 1 target for 10 yards for the entire game. Dionte Johnson 2 targets, 1 catch and 6 yards across first two games with ravens Deandre Swift 7.5 points, 59 rushing yards, 1 reception for 6 yards. After being an RB1 for four straight weeks, he's reverted closer to his opening few weeks' form, where he was nearly unplayable.  Justin Jefferson 9.8 point, 48 receiving yards, 5 receptions. The 48 receiving yards were his lowest total of the season. Bills are without newly acquired Amri Cooper and Keon Coleman  Pacheco, JuJu and Omenihu are all getting back to practice hoping to make their return for this big game.
