The Question (& Answer) Behind Every Puberty Conversation | Ep. 69

What if the biggest questions our daughters ask during puberty aren’t actually about puberty at all? After nearly 70 episodes talking about periods, hormones, body literacy, confidence, friendships, and mother-daughter connection, I’ve realized something that I can no longer keep in the background. Every conversation about puberty eventually leads to the same place. Because puberty isn’t just about changing bodies—it’s about forming identity. It’s about discovering who she is, whose she is, and whose voice she’ll believe when the world gets loud. In today’s episode, I’m sharing the heart behind this podcast, why you’ve probably sensed a shift over the last few episodes, and why I believe Jesus isn’t just part of the puberty conversation—He’s the foundation beneath every single one of them. This isn’t a new direction. It’s bringing the foundation to the forefront. Here’s the power in today’s episode: Why puberty is one of the most spiritually formative seasons in your daughter’s life. The deeper question Christian moms are really asking when they ask about confidence, hormones, friendships, and communication. How confidence changes when it’s rooted in identity in Christ instead of achievements or the opinions of others. Why body literacy becomes so much more meaningful when we understand the Creator behind our incredible design. The key to helping your daughter build healthy relationships without making other people the source of her identity.A vulnerable realization I’ve had about my own girls—and why, as much as I want them to come to me, I want them to go to the Lord first. What I really mean every time I say, “You are an empowered mom raising an empowered girl.”Why practical parenting strategies matter—but will always fall short if they aren’t built on the unchanging foundation of God’s Truth. How the parable of the wise and foolish builders (Matthew 7) completely changed the way I think about parenting through puberty. The simple reflection questions I’m asking myself as a mom—and inviting you to ask yourself too.If you’ve ever wondered how to disciple your daughter through puberty, if you’ve been trying to balance practical parenting with biblical truth, or if you’ve felt the weight of wanting to “get it right” during these incredibly formative years, then listen in to today’s episode. This conversation is the foundation beneath every other conversation we’ll have from here on out. When the Voices Get Loud: Who’s Shaping Your Motherhood? | Ep. 68

There are SO many voices telling us how to parent our girls. Family. Friends. Experts. Books. Instagram. Podcasts. Other moms. And sometimes, all of those voices seem to contradict each other. As I’ve gotten deeper into parenting my daughter through puberty, I’ve realized that I don’t need to have every answer. I need to know where to turn when the questions get harder and the voices get louder. In this episode, we’re talking about parenting advice, motherhood, Christian parenting, and what it looks like to slow down, listen for God’s voice, and seek His wisdom as we raise our daughters through puberty and beyond. Here’s the power in today’s episode: Recognizing the many voices shaping the way we parentUnderstanding why too much parenting advice can leave us overwhelmed and second-guessing ourselvesLearning to turn to Jesus for wisdom before turning to everyone elseRemembering that God’s wisdom is personal, Spirit-led, and unique to your familyLetting go of the pressure to have all the answers as a momListen in if you want to feel a little less pressure to figure it all out and a little more peace about following the voice of Jesus. Parenting a tween has a way of stretching us in unexpected ways. In this short summer check-in, I’m sharing a behind-the-scenes glimpse of what’s been happening in our family and one of the biggest lessons God has been teaching me about parenting a tween daughter. A Summer Chat with My Daughter: Wrapping Up 6th Grade & Looking Ahead | Ep. 65

Today’s episode is a little different—and one of my favorites. Aria just wrapped up 6th grade, and I wanted to capture this moment before life keeps moving. We sat down for a fun, honest conversation about middle school, growing up, puberty, what’s surprised her most, and the things she’s looking forward to as she heads into 7th grade. We also ended with a rapid-fire round that had us both laughing. If you’ve ever wondered what puberty and middle school look like through the eyes of an actual tween, I think you’re going to love this conversation. Here’s the power in today’s episode: Why it’s worth slowing down to hear what’s really going on in your daughter’s world.A few honest reflections from the end of 6th grade—the highs, the challenges, and the surprises. What growing in confidence can look like during the middle school years.Simple reminders about puberty and the menstrual cycle from a girl’s perspective.Plenty of laughter, personality, and a rapid-fire round that reminds us not to take life too seriously.Whether your daughter is still in elementary school or already navigating middle school, my hope is that this episode encourages you to keep creating space for conversations that matter... even if they’re imperfect, silly, or completely unexpected. Thanks for listening, friend. If this episode makes you smile, share it with another girl mom who could use a little encouragement today. Your Daughter’s Puberty Is About More Than Puberty | Ep. 64

When most moms think about puberty, we think about periods, bras, hormones, deodorant, and all the practical conversations that come with raising a growing girl. But lately, I’ve been asking myself a deeper question: Why does this season matter so much? And what I’ve realized is that puberty isn’t really about puberty at all. It’s about identity. It’s about influence. It’s about connection. It’s about helping our daughters understand who they are before the world tells them who they should be. In this episode, I’m sharing some personal reflections about what God has been teaching me as I walk through puberty with my own daughter. This isn’t a typical “3 tips” episode. It’s a heart-to-heart conversation about what I believe is truly at stake during these formative years—and the opportunity we have as moms to stay connected, build trust, and point our girls back to the truth of who they are in Christ. Here’s the power in today’s episode: * Why puberty is about so much more than physical changes * The deeper questions many girls begin wrestling with during these years * What I’m learning from watching my own daughter grow up * Why we can’t create a perfect puberty experience for our girls * The difference between protecting our daughters and walking alongside them * How connection creates influence during the tween and teen years * What Scripture teaches us about being present and intentional as moms * Why your daughter needs a connected mom more than a perfect one If you’ve ever worried about your daughter’s future, her faith, her identity, or your relationship with her as she grows, this episode is for you. Because puberty isn’t just preparing our daughters for womanhood. It’s an opportunity to deepen connection, build trust, and help them stay anchored in the One who created them. The Foundation Little Girls Need Before Puberty | Ep. 63

I think sometimes we assume puberty preparation starts around age 9 or 10… but honestly, the foundation starts so much earlier than that. Long before periods and bras and deodorant, our girls are already learning messages about their bodies, womanhood, and growing up. In today’s episode, we’re talking about simple, everyday ways we can help little girls grow up feeling safe, connected, confident, and shame-free in their bodies, long before puberty begins. Here’s the power in today’s episode: • Why the small everyday moments matter more than one big puberty talk • The importance of using anatomically correct names from an early age • How to normalize healthy, positive body conversations without creating appearance obsession • Why the voices around our daughters matter more than we realize • How moms can help shape a peaceful, God-centered narrative around bodies and growing up • The powerful role modeling plays in helping girls feel comfortable and connected to their bodies Listen in if… • you’re a mom of a little girl and want to lay a healthy foundation before puberty begins • you want your daughter to grow up body-literate and shame-free • you’re trying to navigate body conversations in a peaceful, age-appropriate way • you want to raise a girl who feels safe, confident, and grounded as she grows EMPOWERED RESOURCES Free Empowered Puberty Checklist for Girl Moms | HERE Puberty Support Coaching | HERE Empowered Cycle Charting for Her- $27 | HERE Literally Magazine | HERE! *Apply the code ADRIANE10 to get 10% off her yearly subscription! Raising Confident & Capable Girls (Our Version of a 90s Summer) | Ep. 62

I don’t want a perfect summer. I want a connected one. And I’m guessing you’re feeling similar. This episode feels a little like sitting down for coffee together and just being real about what we want our summer to look like. Because if you’re anything like me, there’s always this tension between wanting summer to feel magical and memorable… while also needing to work, keep the house functioning, and maybe (just maybe!) stay on top of the laundry. (Core memories AND clean laundry, please.) In today’s episode, I’m sharing a few of the things we’re intentionally focusing on with our girls this summer. Not from a place of pressure or perfection, but from a desire to raise girls who are confident, capable, grounded, and connected. From responsibility and contribution inside the home… to confidence through challenge… to faith, character, money, independence, and slowing down enough to actually enjoy each other — this is the kind of summer we’re hoping to create. Here’s the power in today’s episode: * Why we created “Summer Captain” and “First Mate” roles for our girls * The connection between responsibility, confidence, and capability * Why challenge and hard things can actually build healthy confidence * Teaching girls initiative, contribution, and ownership * Our thoughts on money, earning, and independence for girls * Why character matters more to us than performance * The tension of working from home while wanting a connected summer * What it looks like to hold summer rhythms loosely instead of chasing perfection Listen in if you want to approach your summer with intention, not perfection.
