Energetic Boundaries: How to Protect Your Energy, Build Self-Trust & Stop Self-Abandonment

In this episode of Seed Your Subconscious, Maddison explores boundaries through the lens of energetic sovereignty, self-trust and subconscious conditioning. Rather than focusing solely on saying “no,” she dives into the deeper reasons we struggle to honour our own needs including people-pleasing, self-abandonment, fear of conflict, over-responsibility for others and nervous-system patterns. The episode explores how boundaries can become a pathway to deeper connection, greater energy, more sustainable relationships and personal power, while offering practical journal prompts, a guided energetic-boundary visualisation and metaphors to help listeners create boundaries that feel safe and authentic. What We Cover: Boundaries are more than saying no. Sustainable boundaries involve the subconscious, nervous system and energetic layers underneath our words and actions.Energetic boundaries create a sense of “this is me, and this is not me.” They help us distinguish between our emotions, needs and responsibilities and those belonging to others. You can consciously know you need a boundary and still struggle to enforce it. This is where subconscious programming and nervous-system safety become important. Many boundary struggles come from conditioning. Being agreeable, keeping the peace, being “the good girl/boy,” avoiding conflict and prioritising others can teach us to override our own needs.Self-abandonment happens when we repeatedly say yes to what our body is saying no to. Over time, this can erode self-trust and create resentment.Resentment can be a powerful signal that a boundary has been crossed. Depletion, exhaustion, agitation, anxiety, brain fog and feeling scattered can also indicate that you’re overextending yourself. Not everything is your responsibility. You can take responsibility for your own behaviour and boundaries without taking responsibility for another person’s emotions or reactions.Boundaries are connected to discernment. Your boundaries are allowed to change depending on your season of life, capacity, relationships and what feels true for you now.Boundaries don’t have to become walls. The goal isn’t disconnection or protection from everyone; it’s creating parameters that allow for deeper, healthier connection.Boundaries with yourself are just as important as boundaries with others. Keeping promises to yourself around rest, work, routines, availability and commitments builds self-trust.Boundaries can create more energy and flow. When your energy isn’t constantly being leaked through overextension, you have greater capacity for your relationships, work, creativity, self-care and desires.Your boundaries can be a pathway to sovereignty. The deeper question isn’t simply “How do I get better at saying no?” but “Who am I when I no longer abandon myself to maintain connection?” Additional Resources: Secure Your Spot: Hypnotherapist Certification Connect with Maddison at Bloomin Within: • Instagram: @bloominwithin_ + @seedyoursubconscious_ • TikTok: @bloominwithin_ • Podcast: Seed Your Subconscious Rate & Review: If this episode resonated, share it with someone you love and leave a review on Apple or Spotify - it helps this work reach more beautiful minds like yours. Where Is Life Slowing You Down So That You Can Speed Up?

After an unexpected two-week hiatus, Maddison returns to Seed Your Subconscious with a personal reflection on what happens when life forces us to slow down. Following the launch of her hypnotherapist certification, Maddison became unexpectedly unwell and was forced into a complete pause creating space to reflect on her business, identity, capacity, and the next version of herself she is stepping into. In this episode, she explores the power of perspective, surrender, and seeing unexpected pauses not as setbacks, but as invitations to recalibrate, release old ways of operating, and create the space needed for expansion. The reminder? Sometimes you have to slow down before you can truly speed up. What We Cover: Sometimes life forces the pause we wouldn’t give ourselves. When you’re constantly doing, achieving, and moving forward, an unexpected slowdown can create the space you weren’t consciously making.Perspective changes the experience. The same circumstance can feel like a setback or an invitation depending on the meaning you choose to give it.Ask: “What is this creating space for?” Instead of immediately resisting delays, frustration, sickness, or lack of flow, get curious about what the experience might be revealing.Tiny actions create massive momentum. You don’t always need a quantum leap. Consistent, micro-level action over time can create extraordinary shifts. The next version of you may require a new identity. As your life and business expand, the systems, habits, responsibilities, and ways of operating that got you here may no longer be what takes you forward.Expansion requires support. Sometimes the upgrade isn’t about doing more — it’s about creating better systems, structures, boundaries, and layers of support.Resistance is often a signal to pause and listen. Frustration, overwhelm, and the feeling that things “should” be different can point toward something that needs to be acknowledged or changed. You don’t have to do the transition perfectly. Surrender doesn’t mean you never spiral, cry, feel frustrated, or resist. It means allowing those emotions while continuing to return to curiosity, acceptance, and trust.Slow down so you can speed up. A pause can give you the clarity and capacity needed to move forward in a way that is more sustainable, supported, and aligned.Create space for what you’re calling in. Ask yourself: What am I being asked to let go of, change, or recalibrate so I can step into the version of myself and the life I’m creating? Fears & Limiting Beliefs That Can Stop You From Becoming An Incredible Practitioner

In this episode, we’re exploring the hidden fears and limiting beliefs that often stop incredible practitioners from starting, growing or fully stepping into their purpose. Through personal stories, mindset shifts, and practical reframes, you’ll learn how to move with, through and alongside fear instead of waiting for it to disappear, so you can create, serve, and share your gifts with confidence. What We Cover: Why fear and limitations dont disappear as you grow and how to move forward anyway.Healing the fear of being seen, heard, judged, or criticised.Reframing “Who am I to help someone?” into “Who am I not to?”Why your unique perspective is needed, even in a "saturated" industry.Transforming the fear of doing harm into a commitment to ethical, trauma-informed practice. Why you don’t need to be fully healed before supporting others.Shifting from a mindset of scarcity to trusting in infinite creativity and inspiration.Understanding why seeing others doing what you want is evidence that it’s possible for you too.Recognising when another certification is genuine growth versus imposter syndrome in disguise. What truly makes a magnetic practitioner and why authenticity matters more than perfection. Wildfire Series 2, Part 6: 110% Effort + Detachment = The Mindset That Changes Everything

In this episode, Kez from the In Between and I explore one of the most misunderstood spiritual concepts: detachment. Rather than meaning passivity or “not caring,” we share why true detachment is about giving your fullest effort while surrendering your attachment to the outcome, timeline, and how everything unfolds. Using the behind-the-scenes journey of creating our 2027 Greece retreat, we unpack the lessons we’ve learned about intuition, surrender, trusting divine timing, and building something in alignment instead of forcing results. We also dive into why breaking the “rules” of business, following your own unique blueprint, and creating spaciousness for intuition has become one of the greatest gifts in both our lives and businesses. This conversation is a reminder that your dream life isn’t created through control it’s cultivated through courageous action, deep trust, and allowing life to unfold in ways that are often even better than you imagined. What We Cover: Detachment isn’t passivity...it’s giving 110% effort while releasing attachment to the outcome. Why surrendering the timeline creates more peace, trust and alignment. The power of micro actions and consistent daily steps over chasing quantum leaps.Behind the scenes of creating our Greece retreat and trusting the vision before the evidence existed. How uncertainty can become an invitation to deepen trust instead of creating fear. Why following your intuition often means breaking traditional business rules. The importance of creating your own blueprint instead of copying someone else’s strategy. How retreats and immersive experiences create lasting subconscious and nervous system transformation through integration, not just inspiration. Why community, sisterhood and being deeply witnessed can accelerate personal growth and healing.A reminder that your biggest dreams unfold through a balance of intentional action, surrender, authenticity and trust in divine timing. Wildfire Series 2, Part 5: The Role of Loving Awareness in Lasting Transformation

What does it really mean to meet yourself with loving awareness? In this deeply honest conversation, my dear friend Kez from the Inbetween and I explore the practice of witnessing your inner world without judgment, the transformative lessons of meditation and Vipassana, and why true growth is rarely a dramatic “quantum leap.” Through vulnerable personal stories, we unpack how our deepest fears become opportunities for healing, how capacity is built over time, and why embodiment not bypassing is the foundation of lasting transformation. What We Cover: Loving awareness is the foundation of healing. True healing begins with meeting yourself with curiosity, compassion, and non-judgment rather than trying to fix or change what arises.Meditation creates space to witness instead of react. Rather than attaching meaning to every thought or emotion, meditation allows us to observe our inner experience like clouds passing across the sky.Safety is cultivated from within. Creating internal spaciousness and emotional safety allows difficult emotions and subconscious patterns to surface without overwhelming us.Growth often asks us to face our greatest fears. Sometimes the path to expansion isn’t avoiding discomfort it’s learning to hold both the best and worst-case scenarios with equanimity and trust. Our deepest fears are invitations for healing. The fears that repeatedly surface often point toward unresolved experiences waiting to be met with compassion rather than resistance.Transformation doesn’t require forcing or “getting rid” of parts of yourself. Healing is less about eliminating wounds and more about integrating every part of yourself through loving awarenessQuantum leaps are usually built through countless small moments. What appears to be an overnight success is often years of internal growth, tiny courageous actions, and repeated initiations happening behind the scenes. Your capacity determines what you can sustainably hold.Whether it’s success, relationships, abundance, or opportunity, lasting expansion comes from becoming the person who can safely receive and sustain it.The journey is the transformation. Rather than rushing toward the next milestone, real fulfillment comes from embracing the evolution, challenges, and lessons that shape who you’re becoming.Embodiment creates integrity. Lasting impact isn’t built through information alone it’s created by living the wisdom yourself, developing the emotional capacity and safety to truly support others from an embodied place. Do You Need to Be Fully Healed Before You Can Help Others?

Do you need to be fully healed before becoming a practitioner? In this episode, Maddison unpacks question she received recently from an aspiring hypnotherapist and wellness practitioner. Drawing on her own journey from yoga teacher training to building a thriving hypnotherapy practice, she explores the difference between continually developing and transforming and allowing healing to become a reason to stay stuck. This conversation is a reminder that your own inner work isn’t something to finish before you begin, it’s the foundation that allows you to hold others with presence, integrity, and compassion. What We Cover: Why you don’t need to be “fully healed” before supporting others but you do need self-awareness and emotional capacity. The difference between embodiment and simply learning information, and why clients feel your presence more than your knowledge. How the subconscious can use “I need to heal more first” as a form of fear, avoidance, or self-protection.Maddisons personal journey from yoga teacher training to hypnotherapy, and why it took years of integration before she felt ready to teach. Why the best practitioners continue doing their own inner work throughout their careers. The importance of building a support network through supervision, therapy, mentorship, and self-care while holding space for others. How to recognise the difference between genuine readiness and perfectionism disguised as preparation. Why stepping into practitioner trainings can become part of your own healing journey not just your professional development.A behind-the-scenes look at how Maddisons Hypnotherapist Certification has been designed with self-transformation first, practitioner skills second. An invitation to trust your own timing, honour the discomfort of growth, and stop waiting for the day you feel “ready enough.” Additional Resources: Greece Retreat WaitlistHypnotherapist Certification Waitlist Connect with Maddison at Bloomin Within: • Instagram: @bloominwithin_ + @seedyoursubconscious_ • TikTok: @bloominwithin_ • Podcast: Seed Your Subconscious Rate & Review: If this episode resonated, share it with someone you love and leave a review on Apple or Spotify - it helps this work reach more beautiful minds like yours.
