There is skepticism about claims of thriving businesses in the current market, suggesting that many are struggling. The Role of AI in Design I discuss the misconception that design has been fully embraced by businesses, highlighting that investments were made in areas of design that could be optimized or automated. AI is seen as a disruptive force, taking over certain aspects of design work, particularly for lower-tier clients who may be satisfied with basic outputs. Opportunities for Designers I encourage designers to view AI as an opportunity to focus on higher-quality, creative work that machines cannot replicate. Designers should concentrate on the strategic, product, and problem-solving aspects of design that require human insight and creativity.
