"This Album..." with William Hann. The podcast where each episode a guest and I deep dive an album of their choice. It could be an album from any artist, any genre, any year. We're going to discuss the songs, the shows, the artwork. But what I really want is to know is the emotional attachment my guest has to the album. Who knows, we might even have a bloody laugh while doing it!

Episode 100 - Orlando Weeks - PJ Harvey, Let England Shake

For episode 100 I'm joined I'm joined by a massive guest, from the actual, literal, bloody Maccabees.... it's Orlando Weeks! 100 episodes is a major milestone, so to be joined by such a great guest feels like a perfect fit. Needless to say, it was a joy to spend time with Orlando deep diving PJ Harvey's Let England Shake. We also discuss the importance and fragility of male friendships, reforming The Maccabees, having harry Styles as a fan and the night the sky turned "Silk Cut purple" during PJ Harvey's mind melting set at Bestival 2011. It's no secret that I'm a total Maccabees super fan. It must easily be over 30 times that I've watched the band live, even more with Orlando's solo shows. But I think I kept the balance just about right between professional broadcaster and obsessed fan that's freaking out. If you haven't given the show a cheeky follow or 5 star review on your podcast platform of choice, I'd be very grateful if you could please! It really helps to bump the show up and get more eyes on the show. Onwards to the next 100. “THIS Album…” is the podcast where each episode a guest and I deep dive an album that they have an emotional attachment to, one that captures a particular moment in their life. And we have a proper laugh while doing it.Rather than talking guitar pedals and snare drum recording techniques, I want to hear how bad someone’s haircut was when they discovered an album, who broke their heart and what questionable denim they were wearing. The show reached #1 on Spotify’s Music Podcast Chart and continues to build a highly engaged social audience, with clips from the podcast generating over 1 million views on Instagram in June 2026 alone. Former guests of the podcast include…. IVO GRAHAM, BLOC PARTY, SPRINTS, WESTSIDE COWBOY, PIRI, WHODEE, PRESTON (THE ORDINARY BOYS), FELIX WHITE - THE MACCABEES, ELEANOR K, CHRISTOPHER MCARTHUR BOYD, JAKE FARRELL (SCREEN ROT PODCAST) WILL GAMBLE, MURKAGE DAVE, SWIM DEEP, SUNFLOWER BEAN, JAMIE WEBSTER, AMY MATTHEWS, SAM DELANEY, LIAM WITHNAIL, TONY MACCARROLL (OASIS), ED JONES, MYSTERY JETS, THE HOWLERS, WE ARE SCIENTISTS, ANNA SODEN, KYLE DALE, SOPHIE SVEINSSON, LOUISE SCHOFIELD, SILVER TONGUE RASCALS, CASTLE RAT, DANIEL MCKEON, THE ROLLING PEOPLE, ANDREW CUSHIN, GOLDIEROCKS, DAVID CORREOS, 22 GRAND POD, JAMES ALLEN, THE HOWLERS, WESLEY GONZALEZ, NED NEWMAN, FESTIVAL FRIEND RUSS, MATTHEW CROSBY, ROBIN ALLENDER, NORAH HENDRIKS, COURTING, PRESTON (THE ORDINARY BOYS), DUCKS LTD, THE BIG PINK, CHARTREUSE, BEATLES DUB CLUB, AMELIA BAYLER, RAJIV KARIA, JESS GREENFIELD - NGHFB.

    Episode 99 - JJerome87 - Radiohead, Amnesiac

For Episode 99 I'm joined by JJerome87! Joe has had an illustrious career as the frontman of one of the biggest bands in the world for the last 15 years. Alt J have had number 1 albums, headlined festivals, won the Mercury Music Prize and NME Awards. They've been nominated for Brit Awards, headlined The Other Stage at Glastonbury and have a legacy that dreams are made of. But this year Joe released his debut solo album - The Canyon under the moniker of JJerome87. It's an Americana tinged masterpiece and is out now on Mushroom Music via Virgin Music Group. For this episode Joe's album of choice is is Radiohead's Amnesiac. It's an seismic album from one of the biggest bands in the world, so naturally we spend most of the conversation talking about books, teenage hormones and cats. We talk a LOT about cats. It's an absolutely massive guest and I had so much fun talking to Joe. Enjoy irresponsibly. “THIS Album…” is the podcast where each episode a guest and I deep dive an album that they have an emotional attachment to, one that captures a particular moment in their life. Epiosde 98 - Amelia Bayler - Uffie, Sex Dreams and Denim Jeans

Episode 98 is out now and I’m joined by Amelia Bayler! Amelia is a comedian, Punk Singer, Only Friends model and is basically an utter joy to be around. Amelia had appeared on the podcast before to discuss her passion for Mnistry of Sound compilations, but for her return she’s chosen an indie sleaze classic, Uffie’s Sex Dress and Denim Jeans! This is a fun episode as we discuss, preserving club culture, millennial fashion disasters, tent based romance at Bennicassim 2012 and the power of Uffie’s iconic saxophone solos. Best enjoyed while wearing American Apparel and 6 glow sticks. “THIS Album…” is the podcast where each episode a guest and I deep dive an album that they have an emotional attachment to, one that captures a particular moment in their life. And we have a proper laugh while doing it.

Episode 97 - Goldierocks - Tame Impala, Currents

I can’t believe I actually had the audacity to invite today’s guest to my humble podcast because she is a woman far more accustomed to DJing on super yachts for the likes of The Jaggers, Richard Branson or Kate Moss. She’s a queen of the Dancefloor turned wellness warrior, it’s Goldierocks!  Sam has had a WILD and very uniqiue life, so it was never in doubt that she would be loads of fun on the show. We talk all about how she went from freelancing at the NME, to DJing in Libya and the The 2012 Paralympic Opening Ceremony. But of course there's the album and she chose a BLINDER! Sam fell in love with Tame Impala at a time when she moved to Australia, so what more fitting album, than they're game changer, Currents. We cover a lot of ground in this episode, from sunburn on Super Yachts to sharing a bill with The Maccabees in Malawai.

Patrick Gosling on Mac DeMarco, Deerhunter and THAT Charli XCX Cover

Patrick is a Sunderland based indie / folk singer songwriter behind one of my favourite tracks of the year, Resembles Heaven. It’s a track he’s been teasing for a long time and it is finally due for release on the 9th of September. You may recognise him from his viral folk cover of Charl XCX's 360, you can hear all about it on this episode as well as his love of Deerhunter and Mac DeMarco. It’s out now on Youtube, Spotify or wherever you find your podcasts and it’s best enjoyed with a baseball cap and a flannel shirt on.

Indoor Foxes on Living Next Door To Barrowlands and Supporting The Libertines

As anyone that follows me on Instagram will be fully aware, I supported The Libertines on Saturday and DJ's between all the acts. One of those acts was Indoor Foxes! She tore the roof off with her blend of Americana inspired "Girl Rock." Perfect for fans of Wolf Alice and Paramore. I managed to grab a quick interview with her, but sadly my microphones let me down (F you Rode!) so the audio is a bit iffy today. I've fixed it as best as I can, so hopefully you can still enjoy this episode. Indoor Foxes latest single, Feet on The Dashboard is an absolute smash and I would highly recommend putting it on as soon as you've listened to this Podcast. Enjoy!

EMERGENCY PODCAST! I Opened For The Libertines and It Was MAD!!!

I supported The Libertines and DJ'd to 8000 people... As is often the case with The Libertines, it was not without incident, so naturally, an emergency podcast feels warranted. There were numerous runs ins with Peter and each one was HILLARIOUS! He asked me 4 questions, the answer to 3 of them was "no." The other was, "The Young Knives." Project Glastonbury 2027 is growing momentum as I become more and more qualified for the role. If anyone you know is looking for a DJ to play some indie bangers at your next festival, club. night or event, then let's have a chat!

Episode 93 - Riley Pinkerton of Castle Rat - Type O Negative, October Rust

For episode 93 I'm joined by the Rat Queen - Riley Pinkerton from Castle Rat! Castle Rat are a five-piece Medieval Fantasy Heavy Metal band from New York, bringing massive riffs and some much needed theatrical chaos to this crazy world. I caught up with Riley just a few days after they completely stole the weekend at this year’s Bloodstock, to dive deep into the music of fellow New Yorkers Type O Negative and their 1996 classic, October Rust We talk the realm, we talk world building and we talk about being gifted DIY recreations of Peter Steele iconic Play Girl cover as a leaving gift from colleagues. Castle Rat are on a full US tour throughout September and October and they have two highly recommended albums available now, 2024's Into The Realm and 2025's The Bestiary.
