    Avengers Endgame Part 1: Time Heists, Trauma, and Plot Armor

    The Avengers lost. Thanos won. Half the universe disappeared. Naturally, the only reasonable solution is time travel, a complicated heist, and absolutely no agreement on how any of it works. In Part 1 of our Avengers: Endgame discussion, the Psyber Conversations crew looks back at the massive anticipation surrounding the film, the shock of killing Thanos in the opening minutes, and the five-year jump that changed the MCU forever. We break down how each surviving Avenger handles grief and failure, including Tony Stark’s attempt at a happy ending, Steve Rogers’ support group era, Natasha’s refusal to move on, Smart Hulk’s offscreen transformation, Hawkeye’s dark turn, and Thor’s controversial descent into depression, drinking, and one too many punchlines.     In Part 2 of our Avengers: Infinity War conversation, the Psyber Conversations crew finishes the fight, and by “finishes,” we mean watches everyone fail in increasingly painful ways. Bob, Josh, Matthew, Darin, Heather, and special guest Ben from Cinema Gulp dig into the biggest moments from the back half of Infinity War, including Vision getting sidelined, Wanda’s impossible choice, the battle on Titan, Doctor Strange’s 14 million futures, Peter Quill’s very bad emotional timing, and Thor’s now legendary failure to go for the head. Then it’s off to Wakanda, where the group debates the missing rhinos, the last stand against Thanos’ army, the heartbreak of the Snap, and why this ending still hits like a purple fist to the soul stone.     Avengers Infinity War Part 1 | One Glove to Rule Them All

    We finally made it to Avengers Infinity War, the movie that took ten years of MCU setup, threw nearly every hero on the board, and somehow didn’t collapse under its own cape collection. In this episode, Bob, Josh, Darin, Heather, Matthew, and special guest Ben from Cinema Gulp dig into the massive task of balancing the Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, Spider Man, Black Panther, Thor, and one very purple problem named Thanos. We talk about why this movie works as both an Avengers epic and, weirdly enough, a Thanos movie, how the Infinity Stones went from background MacGuffins to universe ending plot devices, and why the opening scene immediately lets you know this is not a casual Tuesday in the MCU. We also get into the pairings that shouldn’t work but absolutely do, including Tony and Strange, Thor and Rocket, and the Guardians stumbling into the aftermath of Ragnarok. Plus, we debate Thanos’ motivations, Hulk’s disappearing act, the underused Black Order, and whether Thor is the real MVP of the movie, even if he famously forgot the headshot. It’s big, chaotic, emotional, funny, and packed with the kind of nerdy debate that only happens when everyone loves the movie but still has notes.

    Agree to Disagree: Trash, Treasure, and Hot Takes

    This week on Psyber Conversations, we take a quick detour from the MCU before diving into Avengers: Infinity War and kick off summer with a good old-fashioned movie debate. Each host brings two picks to the table: one movie they love that everyone else seems to hate, and one movie they can’t stand that everybody else seems to love. The result is a chaotic mix of guilty pleasures, hot takes, questionable defenses, and several moments where friendship is tested by Rotten Tomatoes scores.
