    John's Christology 203 (September 2026)

    Pastor Tolu Ayeni makes it clear that the reason for writing the book of John is to point us to Christ as the Son of God and by believing in Christ, we receive life (John 20: 30-31).  PT further establishes this point by making references to the Old Testament (OT) (better referred to as ‘The Law, The Prophets and The Psalms‘) as a foundation for the understanding of Christ as the Son of God.  In John 1, Christ is referred to as The Word of God and He is the culmination of the OT fulfilled. This understanding must also drive us to a getting-men-saved-mindset because if God needed to come as flesh to fulfill his plan of salvation; it goes without saying how important this was to God.     John's Christology 202 (September 2026)
