    Kylr Coffman | Season 02 Episode 06

Kylr Coffman left small-town Oklahoma for Los Angeles with big Hollywood dreams, only to face high living costs that made car camping his best option. So he went for it. He put every dollar he had into attending every acting class and audition he could. He’ll tell you it was the best time of his life. Then “life happened.” He returned to Oklahoma to be with his mom during chemotherapy, thinking he had left his dreams behind in LA. What he found in Oklahoma was a huge surprise and gave him new purpose. Kylr formed OFA Studios and began helping Oklahoma actors find their way in the industry. Sometime later, in the dead of a dry Oklahoma winter, Kylr found himself on the side of a rural Oklahoma road, acting opposite our very own PJ Sosko in a scene from Nimrods. The film is a road trip comedy, produced by the band Green Day, that was originally known as ‘New Year’s Rev.’ It represents a major milestone in the career of this young actor, working on a feature film with a major theatrical release. Having spent many hours on a skateboard and playing in punk bands as an adolescent, he was able to bring that energy to the role and be a “green-haired bastard.” PJ and Kylr discuss his journey, acting, maintaining work-life balance in the film industry and more in this episode of Sittin’ With The Sosk. We hope you enjoy this episode. It was produced by Streamliner Mobile Production.
