God’s No Is Still a Setup for Victory

In this episode rewind , Tola highlights the pivotal moment when God tells Gideon he has too many men. This was a divine strategy that didn’t make sense from a human perspective. Reducing the number of soldiers before going into battle would seem counterproductive, but God's ways are not our ways. Tola shares how this applies to our daily lives as nurses, leaders, mothers, wives, and entrepreneurs. God often gives us instructions that do not align with conventional logic, and this is where faith becomes practical. Faith is not just a belief, it is obedience to divine strategy even when it seems unreasonable. God’s intent was not only to give Gideon the victory but also to ensure that the glory returned to Him. In the same way, when we follow God’s unique strategies in our lives, we begin to see results that cannot be explained by credentials, background, or effort alone. This reminds us that obedience positions us to walk in peace, grace, and ease, not by our strength but by His direction. Key Takeaways: Divine strategies often do not make sense in the natural, but they lead to supernatural results. God trims our "numbers" so we will rely on Him rather than our own qualifications or resources. Many people seek signs because they are overwhelmed by too many voices. Stillness and centering in God's Word clarify His strategy. Success in nursing, business, and family comes when you choose to obey God's leading, even in the small and unusual things. Every victory you experience is a reminder to give the glory back to God, not to your intellect, experience, or training. Faith in Action Reflection: Reflect on areas in your life where God may be calling you to implement a new or unusual strategy. Are you resisting because it doesn't make sense? Are you waiting for a sign instead of simply obeying what you already heard from God? Write down recent compliments or wins in your life. How did God show up in those situations? Were there divine strategies behind the success? Identify one area where you tend to speak negatively (money, parenting, nursing). Replace those statements with Scripture-based affirmations. Reflection Questions: What instruction has God given you that seems illogical or inconvenient? Are you trying to make your life work by human strategy instead of spiritual guidance? How can you make your faith more practical this week? Listen & Subscribe:You can listen to Daily Devotionals for Nurses on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or your favorite platform. Say Yes to God's Strategy

In this episode, Tola continues the reflection on Judges 7 and God's instructions to Gideon about reducing the size of his army. Gideon had over 32,000 men, but God told him to let those who were fearful and afraid turn back. While it may have looked like Gideon was giving up his advantage, God was actually protecting him. Tola helps listeners consider what it would feel like to be in Gideon's shoes. Imagine having what seems like an army of support, only to be told that most of it must go. The instruction doesn’t make sense at first glance, but faith is about trusting God even when the strategy defies logic. She explains how fear is contagious. Fearful people on your journey can delay your progress, distort your perspective, and pull you back emotionally, mentally, or spiritually. God was helping Gideon avoid a future defeat by removing voices and influences that would have weakened him. Tola reminds listeners that obedience to divine strategy often leads to protection from outcomes we may never even see. Using a powerful analogy from her work in wound care, Tola compares disobedience to untreated wounds. Sometimes we end up with emotional, physical, or psychological wounds because we ignored divine direction. Obeying God's voice helps us avoid unnecessary trauma and protects us from battles we were never meant to fight in the first place. She encourages listeners to choose trust over curiosity. Instead of wondering what would have happened if they had gone the other way, it is better to rest in the peace of never knowing. Obedience may not always be easy, but it is always worth it. Scripture Focus Judges 7:3 (NKJV)"Now therefore, proclaim in the hearing of the people, saying, ‘Whoever is fearful and afraid, let him turn and depart at once from Mount Gilead.’ And twenty-two thousand of the people returned, and ten thousand remained." Are you in a season where God is asking you to do something uncomfortable? Is He asking you to let go of certain people, places, or plans? Do you feel like you are being asked to implement a divine strategy that does not make sense? Tola invites you to join the Nurses of Faith Mastermind. This is a sacred space for nurses who are ready to walk in obedience and align their lives with the voice of God. Whether you are making decisions about your career, relationships, finances, or spiritual growth, the mastermind offers biblical mentorship, practical accountability, and heartfelt support. God Deserves the Glory

In this episode, Tola circles back to Gideon’s story in Judges 7 and invites us to pause and recognize a powerful truth: God gives divine strategies not only to save us but to ensure He receives the glory for every victory. As nurses and believers, we often face overwhelming circumstances, whether on the job, in leadership, or in personal life, but God’s instructions are intentional and precise. When the Israelites cried out for deliverance from the Midianites, God answered. But He made it clear that the victory would not come from numbers, effort, or human wisdom. It would come through Him alone. Tola highlights how easy it is to attribute success to our own efforts—our intelligence, charisma, education, or upbringing. Yet, when we do this, we risk robbing God of the very glory due to Him. She shares a personal testimony from nursing, where the Holy Spirit’s gentle prompt to bring an unnecessary instrument into a patient’s room proved to be a timely, lifesaving move. This story reminds us of the importance of sensitivity to divine direction in even the smallest tasks. Often what looks like intuition is actually revelation from the Lord. Tola also challenges listeners to reflect on whether they thank God for what is working in their lives or only talk to Him when things fall apart. The same God who delivers also deserves the credit. Our posture must remain one of humility and gratitude, especially when success comes in unexpected, supernatural ways. If you have ever walked through a season where you knew the outcome was not because of you, but because of God, this episode will deepen your appreciation and realign your heart to give Him all the praise. As you reflect on what is working in your life, take a moment to give God the glory. Thank Him for the guidance, provision, and strategies that have helped you thrive, even when the odds were stacked against you. If you are in a season where you need support to carry out God’s instructions with boldness, clarity, and obedience, consider joining the Nurses of Faith Mastermind. It is a space designed for nurses who are being led by God but need accountability and strategy to follow through. Whether you are navigating your next career move, launching something new, or leading in difficult spaces, you do not have to do it alone. https://stan.store/Nursesoffaith/p/the-nurses-of-faith-mastermind Follow @nursesoffaith on Instagram, Facebook and Youtube

When God's Strategy Is to Let Them Go

In this powerful episode, Tola explores what it looks like to walk in obedience when God's strategy involves letting go. Drawing from the story of Gideon in Judges 7, she explains how God's instructions may not always make logical sense, but they are always rooted in divine wisdom and eternal perspective. Gideon was prepared to go into battle with 32,000 men, but God saw something he could not. God knew the hearts of the men. He knew that 22,000 of them were fearful and would only weaken the mission. So He gave Gideon a counterintuitive strategy: reduce the numbers. Not to discourage him, but to ensure that the victory would be God's and not man’s. This episode reminds us that fear is not a neutral companion. Partnering with fear, especially in leadership, decision-making, and vision execution, will only sabotage what God has called you to do. You may be surrounded by people, but are they the right people for your assignment? Are they walking in faith, or are they operating from fear? Tola also shares a word of encouragement for those who have experienced painful separations or divine redirections. Perhaps God told you to walk away from a relationship, decline a partnership, or pass on a job opportunity. It may not make sense now, but trust that God is doing what He did for Gideon—shielding you from hidden dangers and positioning you for victory. Sometimes we are tempted to press forward with our own logic. Other times, we stall out because we do not understand why God said no. But if you are in that in-between place where you know what God said, but you are struggling to implement it, you are not alone. And you do not have to figure it out by yourself. If you are in a season of leadership where God has given you direction, but the practical implementation feels heavy, the Nurses of Faith Mastermind is your place of support. This mastermind is for nurses who know they are called to more, who are receiving divine strategy for their next steps, and who need godly support and accountability to walk it out. Whether you are leading at the bedside, building a business, launching a ministry, or navigating a life transition, you were not meant to do it alone. The Mastermind meets twice a month and offers biblical mentorship, strategic planning, and practical wisdom rooted in the Word of God. If you are a modern-day Gideon who needs the strength and structure to follow through, this is for you. Your Next Season Requires Faith, Not Signs

In this episode, Tola shares an important truth: your next season requires faith, not just signs. Building on the story of Gideon in Judges 6 and now moving into chapter 7, she shows how God leads His people with divine strategy that does not always make sense to the natural mind. Gideon was asked to reduce his army, even though it seemed like he needed more people to win the battle. But God had a plan. The strategy was about trust and obedience, not numbers or logic. Tola reminds nurses that in the same way, God will begin to give you unique strategies for your work, your home, and your personal life. Those strategies may not seem mainstream, but they are designed for your victory. You may be used to waiting on external signs or the voice of a prophet, but your next breakthrough will come when you are able to hear and follow God’s instructions for yourself. The problem is not always that God is not speaking. Sometimes there are too many other voices around you. Like Gideon, you may need to reduce the noise and trust what God is saying. Key Takeaways: The next level of your life will be accessed through faith, not repeated signs. God’s strategies are sometimes illogical to human thinking but are perfect in His plan. Asking for a sign repeatedly may stem from confusion caused by too many voices or opinions. When you stop depending on external confirmations and start leaning on God’s voice, clarity follows. Divine strategy always requires action. Faith is not just belief but obedience. Faith in Action Reflection: Where are you still waiting for confirmation even though God has already spoken? Are you willing to follow a strategy from God that does not make sense to others? Take time to identify if too many outside voices are creating confusion. Ask the Holy Spirit to silence the noise so you can hear clearly. Write out the last instruction you received from God and list the fears that may be holding you back. Then counter each one with Scripture. Reflection Questions: What strategy has God already revealed that you have not implemented? Have you allowed other people’s opinions to cloud your obedience? In what areas are you willing to trust God’s unusual instructions? Listen & Subscribe:You can listen to Daily Devotionals for Nurses on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or your favorite platform. When Asking for a Sign Reveals a Deeper Issue

In this episode , Tola explores the heart issues behind our repeated requests for signs from God. Drawing again from Gideon’s story in Judges 6, she shows how Gideon’s desire for confirmation stemmed from fear, shame, and a sense of inadequacy. Although God granted his requests, Gideon’s repeated need for signs pointed to a lack of trust and identity in God’s calling. Tola challenges listeners to look beneath their own requests for signs and ask, “What is this hesitation really pointing to?” Whether it’s fear, shame, past trauma, or insecurity, she encourages nurses to bring those hidden fears into the light of God’s truth. Using personal experiences and practical tools like faith declarations and written exercises, she equips listeners to move forward not with perfect clarity, but with unwavering trust in the God who calls them. Scripture Focus:Judges 6:36–40 – Gideon said to God, “If you will save Israel by my hand as you have promised, look, I will place a wool fleece on the threshing floor. If there is dew only on the fleece and all the ground is dry, then I will know that you will save Israel by my hand, as you said.”And again in verse 39, “Do not be angry with me. Let me make just one more request.” Key Takeaways: Asking for signs can become a spiritual crutch rooted in fear or past failures. Gideon’s identity struggle mirrors our own reluctance to obey when God calls us to lead or step out in faith. We must confront the real issue behind our need for signs: is it fear, shame, or uncertainty about God's character? Faith is not about having everything figured out. It is about moving with God even when you cannot see the outcome. You can counter fear by writing out your faith declarations and standing on the Word of God. Faith in Action Exercise: Ask yourself: Where is my fear hiding? Write down the instruction or opportunity God is presenting to you. List out the fears that come up when you consider obeying Him. Now write faith statements to counter each fear. For example: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” or “He surrounds me with favor as a shield.” Reflection Questions: What is your pattern when God gives you a new instruction? Have you been delaying obedience because you are waiting for confirmation? How can you use faith declarations to replace fear-based thinking? Don't Wait for a Sign Before You Move

In this episode, Tola continues her study on the life of Gideon from Judges 6, reminding nurses and faith-driven professionals that we do not need to wait for a sign to move forward in obedience to God. Using Hebrews 11 as a foundational scripture, Tola explains the nature of true faith not as something theoretical or passive, but as active trust in God’s voice, even when we can’t see the full picture. She challenges listeners to grow their faith through consistent time in the Word and to stop relying on external confirmation before making faith-led decisions. She shares a personal story about a time God instructed her to leave a job without a backup plan. She obeyed not because she saw a sign, but because she had grown confident in how God speaks to her. The miracle she experienced came after she obeyed, serving as a result of her faith rather than the prerequisite for it. Key Takeaways: You don’t need a prophet to move when God speaks. Learn to discern His voice and trust Him without delay. Faith is practical. It's not just what we know, it's what we do in response to God’s instructions. Build your faith by reading and meditating on scriptures like Hebrews 11. The more you immerse yourself in God's Word, the more confident you become in His guidance. Don’t get stuck in “theoretical faith.” Like Gideon, it’s possible to know of God’s power but still hesitate. Growth happens when you practice what you believe. Reflection Questions: Where in your life are you waiting for a sign instead of obeying God’s instructions? How can you build a stronger foundation of trust in God's voice this week?
