#86: How to Stop Second Guessing Yourself Because of Other People's Opinions

Do other people's opinions make you second guess yourself? In this episode, I'm sharing how to stop second guessing yourself, including a small comment I held on to for years and the one question that helps you hear your own voice again. We are conditioned our whole lives by our family, friends, teachers, and the people we work with. It's a normal process, but it can become too much. Sometimes it's not the big criticism that sticks. It's the small, throwaway comment that quietly becomes part of how you see yourself. In this episode, you'll hear: What conditioning and deconditioning mean in Human DesignHow someone else's filters can creep into how you see yourselfThe comment about inspiring people that I carried for seven or eight years, and what I later found in my chartWhen it can actually help to borrow someone else's beliefThe question to ask whenever an opinion makes you doubt yourself: is that actually true for me?Your invitation this week: When a belief pops up that came from someone else, pause and ask yourself, is that actually true for me? Journal on it, meditate, or go for a walk with it, and see what comes up. #85: How to Get Out of Your Head and Make Decisions With Your Body

You can't think your way to every decision. Trust me, I've tried. In this episode, I'm sharing how to get out of your head and make decisions in relationship with your body, so you can stop going in circles and start trusting what's right for you. Most of us were taught to make pros and cons lists, talk it out, and weigh every option. Then we end up right where we started, just tired and overthinking. Your body is super intelligent, and most of the time it responds more truthfully than your mind does. When you learn how it gives you information, decisions start to feel clearer and more like yours. In this episode, you'll hear: Why you can't think your way to every decision, and what to do insteadHow Human Design shows your unique decision-making style (listed as Authority on your chart)The moment I realized "use your words" was shutting down my daughter's body responseWhat a body response can look like: a gut response, an emotional wave, or an intuitive nudgeHow getting out of your head changes your relationship with your body, not only your decisionsYour invitation this week: Find your decision-making style. Then think back to a decision that worked out well and one that didn't. How did each one feel in your body? #80: Saying Yes to Yourself: What Happens When You Commit to Something Big

Have you ever noticed that when you commit to something big, things start shifting before you even get there? That’s what this episode is about. When you say yes to something that’s a full body yes, whether it’s a trip, commitment or new experience, things start happening immediately. Not when you arrive, but from the moment you say yes. I’m sharing what that looked like the first time I said yes to Egypt… the dreams that started months before the trip, a visitation from Sekhmet before I even knew who she was, my daughter’s unexpected resistance and the healing of a lifelong fear of heights, all happening in the before. Most people think about the during and the after. This episode is about the before, the period from when you commit to when you actually get there, and why paying attention to what happens in that space changes everything. Contraction alongside expansion is normal. A full body yes brings magic and challenge in equal measure. Knowing that makes it easier to navigate. What are you saying yes to right now? *** Mary is going to Egypt in December 2026 with her friend and mentor Sarah Naia Soleil.
