His name is Timothée Hal Chalamet. You may call him Timmy, Teem-o-tay (if you're French), Tian-cha (if you speak Chinese), or Doug (never Tim). * He grew up in an artists’ building in New York City listening to his parents’ favorite music: showtunes and French classics (but everybody knows he loves rap and hip-hop). Since then, he's won a 2025 SAG award, a 2026 Golden Globe, 2 Critics Choice awards, and he's been nominated for 3 Oscars. * We’d love to interview him someday, but for now, we talk about his movies, his media appearances, and whatever pops up on his Instagram.

    Pacino & DeNiro in HEAT (and Timothée in his "White Boy of the Year" era)

    In this episode, Caitlin talks with Ross about Heat, the 1995 Michael Mann film which Timmy said was his “favorite movie of the year” on a call with Anthony Edwards for the 1st Annual Believe That Awards at the end of 2025 (the one where they crowned him White Boy of the Year). Because Heat left a lot to be desired, there's talk about a bunch of other Pacino and DeNiro performances (The Godfather, Analyze This, Dog Day Afternoon, Insomnia), as well as films like The Graduate, Fargo, As Good As it Gets, this year’s Odyssey (no spoilers) and even Mary Poppins. We also talked about broadcast television, so of course Caitlin had to bring up X-Files.     In this episode, Caitlin talks with Eleanor about Hot Summer Nights, the 2017 indie film about a young man who gets in over his head dealing drugs in Cape Cod in 1991.
