The dust has settled on our EFL Cup penalty shootout exit to Fleetwood Town, and while there is no need for a massive overreaction, there are some glaring takeaways we cannot ignore. On this episode of The Real Arsenal Deal, we step back from the raw emotion of the cup upset and break down the three biggest lessons as we head into the next phase of the season. 1️⃣ How you lose matters: Going out with a team of academy youth playing good football is one thing, but losing in this fashion, with so many senior players drastically dropping their standards, is exactly why the fallout is so loud. 2️⃣ January reinforcements are non-negotiable: It is glaringly obvious that our attack needs strengthening.
