Voices of Humanity - Episode 1 - Sofia

Welcome to Voices of Humanity. I’m Alyona, your host, a Ukrainian-American storyteller with a deep passion for bringing untold stories to light. In a world where politics and news coverage shape how we view wars and conflicts, we often lose sight of the real people, animals, and communities enduring incredible challenges. My goal with this podcast is to bridge that gap—to remind us all that behind the headlines are human lives. If we saw these individuals face-to-face, our conversations would be so much more compassionate, less politically charged, and profoundly human. In today’s episode, I’ll share the story of a family deeply affected by war and the journey of little Sofia.
