Ep. 10: Easing In After A Long Break: What Are You Being Called To Do In This Chaotic and Transformative Times

After a much longer break than anticipated, Nadjejda is easing her way back into season 2. In this first episode of season 2, Nadjejda shares about her own journey getting that she needed to make some changes in how she showed up for collective liberation. She shares about the need to slow down, embrace the current season we are in and making changes based on our current season. She shares about how she’s unlearning some things she learned from white supremacy. Another important point she makes is she shares the importance of taking time to imagine what we want to see in our lives, our communities, and world. We can get so wrapped up in what’s in front of us which is horrible and while we must not turn away, she reminds that it’s just as important for us to take time to imagine, envision, and dream to not fall into despair and to put out what we want to see. What does collective liberation feel like for you? What does it smell like? How will your life and your communities life improve when we achieve collective liberation? What do you desire for yourself and your life? Enjoy! She invites her listeners who are going to through it as well and are feeling overwhelmed from their personal struggles and the world being on fire especially bearing witness to the people in Gaza being starved by Israel....it's a lot to make time to grieve and pause if they feel the need to. Ep. 8: It's Time For Courageous and Compassionate Leadership

In today's episode, Nadjejda speaks on the need for courageous and compassionate leaders, healers, teachers, coaches, mentors who are all influencers in the personal development industrial complex and the mental health industrial complex. This is something she's very passionate about because she sees a disconnect between many of people who have taken on those roles and those who follow, work, and learn from them. She also believes that the new world that we are being called to create requires new, courageous, authentic, and compassionate leadership. As we continue to bear witness to our world being on fire, many of our "leaders", influencers, healers, teachers are carrying on like nothing is happening and remaining silent on what's impacting us, our communities, and the world. We are taught to focus only on what we can control which makes us believe that we powerless and we need to focus solely on ourselves and those close to us. You know, things like work and focus on you only which breeds individualism and there's no mention of the collective in terms of what's been and continues to happen in our world which is hitting closer to home. She calls on leaders and others mentioned to shift if they want to make a difference and for their content to be relevant. She calls on those who want to speak up on what's happening to show up and she understands the fear and struggle they are experiencing in choosing to do so. She hopes this episode will begin an important conversation on this important issue and inspire people to reflect and take action in their lives, businesses, and work. During the episode Nadjejda mentions a blog post she wrote and published in late October 2023, see below if we want to read it. Enjoy! Ep. 7: The Need for Community Care

In today's episode, Nadjejda begins to share her thoughts on the need for community care which is related to our mental health. She shares how often especially with everything that's happening around the world, we are often told and have been taught to minimize our own struggles and challenges because of the gravity of what's happening on a global level like the genocides in Gaza, Congo, Sudan, and the dire situation in her homeland Ayiti/Haiti. She cares deeply and stands in solidarity with all oppressed people. And she also believes in caring for ourselves and those we are in community with who like ourselves are going through it. She shares on the importance for us to have safe spaces to share ourselves beyond therapy and for us to be a safe space for people we are community with. She invites her listeners to not minimize their struggles due to what's happening on the world stage and to practice both/and. She wishes for all of us to be able to create and find communities where we can show up as our authentic selves and be able to share what's going with us with people who are safe and who care about us and for us to do the same for them. Let us say yes to building community care. Enjoy!
