Ep 95. Heather Rebecca Wilson | Roots Before the Stars

Heather told me her mother does not watch her podcast. She sees the reels go by and reports back that the guest was talking a lot and Heather was not talking at all, so she skipped it. Heather said the show is probably too confronting for her, and then said she is not making it for her mother’s human self. She is making it for her soul self, and for her descendants. She is a Quantum Soul Guidance astrology practitioner and an embodied ancestral healing guide, and she has published eighty episodes of the Cycle Starters podcast, which she designs and edits and markets herself. She lives less than a mile and a half from the beach in Venice, California. Her mother is Filipina and her father is a light skinned Black man from the DC area, and Heather said there is a colonial influence on both sides. She spent years shedding those patterns, and the galactic astrology came after the blood ancestry work. Heather said we have to do the blood ancestry work before we reach for the stars, because the roots have to be deep and wide enough to support us as we go up. She said skipping over that work can become its own form of spiritual bypassing. I recognized it immediately, because when I first opened to spirituality all I desired was to go up and out, and the great mother told me I was going to have a very human experience and I would have to go down and in first. Heather named herself an Enchanting Weaver on her intake, and during the conversation I reflected back the threads she makes from the galactic to the body and from people to people. Come sit with us. About the Cycle Starters Podcast and Heather’s Practice The Cycle Starters Podcast is a weekly interview show on YouTube hosted by Heather Rebecca Wilson, based in Venice, California. As of August 2026, it has published more than eighty episodes, all interviews with female-bodied practitioners about their ancestral healing journeys, and Wilson produces, edits, designs and markets it herself. She also runs the Cosmic Awakening Circle, a paid Substack membership founded around 2022 and known for its first three years as the Astro Ancestral Healing Collective. She describes her methodology as Galactic Astrology, Quantum Soul Guidance, and pleasure as medicine, and says she works with clients who have already done deep ancestral and trauma healing work. About Heather Heather is a Quantum Soul Guidance Astrology Practitioner and Embodied Ancestral Healing Guide, and the host of The Cycle Starters Podcast. Through her signature methodology, Galactic Astrology, Quantum Soul Guidance, and Pleasure as Medicine, she initiates cycle starters into cycle architects: female-bodied beings who are done processing and ready to build a life and mission architected for thriving. She works exclusively with clients who have already done the deep ancestral and trauma healing work and are ready to activate their highest soul mission. Ep 94. Nicola Humber | You Don't Need to Have a Question

Partway through our conversation, Nicola said she had noticed she was looking off into the distance while she spoke, letting whatever was coming just drop in. We had been talking about waffling. Nicola told me how often a woman in conversation with her stops partway to apologize for it, saying sorry, I’m waffling, I’ll get to the point in a minute. She is the author of four books and the founder of The Unbound Press, which she calls a publishing community more than a publishing company. She left finance in her late thirties, retrained as a hypnotherapist and a coach, and wrote her first book, Heal Your Inner Good Girl, in her mid forties. She is writing the fifth one now, in her mid fifties, and she told me she would not be able to write that first one today. Nicola calls it the magical middle, the stretch where a woman is in the void and certain nothing is happening. She said she gets excited when a client tells her nothing is happening, because she knows there is always something happening under the surface. I hear the same thing from my business coaching clients. They tell me it is not working and ask what else they could be doing, when often they are in a season of needing to descend, go inward, pause, or rest. Before we sat down, Nicola named herself a Prolific Alchemist. In our conversation, she described trusting a story to arrive before she knows what the story is for. About Nicola Nicola Humber is the author of four transformational books, Heal Your Inner Good Girl, UNBOUND, Unbound Writing and The Abundant Author Playbook. She’s also the founder of The Unbound Press, a soul-led publishing imprint for transformational books. Nicola helps midlife women to write the book their Unbound Self is calling them to write, whilst growing a community of soul-aligned readers and clients. Nicola describes it as a publishing community rather than a publishing company, with authors continuing to join group calls after their books are out in the world. Ep 93. Tiffany Scott | The Freedom That Comes After 50

Tiffany Scott sat down with me still healing a set of ribs she broke falling off a skateboard, and she is 51, and she took up skating in the first place because she moved to Austin and could not get to the ocean the way she used to, and she refused to let surfing go without finding something to put in its place. That is who was on the other side of the screen, a woman who picks up a new board in her fifties knowing full well she will be the slowest one in the park. She spent years as a Creative Director for global brands, Speedo among them, and she built and then sold two women’s communities before this one, and somewhere in the middle of all that she worked out that what she actually loves is the curating itself, the making of a room. You Me She Fest is the biggest version of that, a one day world on a women owned ranch outside Austin, coming September 19, where everything is for women by women. A body positive pool party, self love workshops, a market alley of women owned and non binary owned businesses, immersive art, and a stage for female and non binary artists who have never had one before. What she kept saying is that she did not build a lineup with women on it, she built a place where women own the stage. And when they come back to her afterward, they use the words safe and seen and celebrated and in sisterhood, which are the exact four words she had written down for herself before any of it existed. She is a Compassionate Healer, and you can watch that archetype move through the whole hour. Year one she held every performer and every market vendor and every woman walking through those gates so completely that she carried a stress headache for two weeks. This year she is six weeks out with no sponsors signed and she is in trust, because she made a promise to herself first, before she made one to anybody else, and then she kept it. We talked about the North Star underneath all of it, and how hers arrived as a download after she sold that last community and sat in the limbo of COVID for a couple of years with no idea what came next, though she always knew it would be something about women. We talked about turning 50 and the stigma that showed up out of nowhere, and about her mother turning 80 in Australia and a full day of shopping on the Gold Coast that turned out to be love. And we talked about her dog Rio, who is 11, and who has recently developed boundaries. Come sit with us. About Tiffany After building and selling two women’s communities, Tiffany realized something was still missing, spaces where women did not only participate, they owned the stage. So she created You Me She Fest in Austin, a women centered festival where musicians, artists, entrepreneurs, and creators take the spotlight across music, arts, and small business. After years as a Creative Director for global brands like Speedo, she discovered her love for curating powerful experiences, and You Me She Fest is the biggest expression of that passion, a one day world where women lead, create, and celebrate each other, reminding every woman just how powerful she truly is. When she is not working on the Fest, you will find her paddleboarding, surfing, traveling, and chilling with her dog, Rio. Find Tiffany * You Me She Fest: youmeshefest.com * Instagram: @youmeshefest * Facebook: You Me She Fest About You Me She Fest You Me She Fest is a one day women’s festival founded by Tiffany Scott, held at Rancho Moonrise in Manor, Texas, about twenty five minutes from downtown Austin, and the 2026 festival is Saturday, September 19. Her site calls it the largest annual women only festival in Texas. The day holds live music from female and non binary artists, self love workshops, a body positive pool party, a curated market of women owned businesses, and immersive art, and women can camp or stay overnight at the ranch. Tickets and details are at youmeshefest.com. Where to go next If you have ever listened to a woman describe her North Star and felt a small ache because you are not sure you could name yours out loud, the Magic and Medicine Quiz is the doorway. Ep 92. Raquel Corona | Letting Yourself Be a Beginner at 40

Raquel Corona came to the first Sacred Strategy conversation we have ever done live, straight from a walk around her pond, where she had just spotted a black duck she had never seen there before, on a week that started with her stomping around that same park upset about her home, and I think that is the truest way to meet her, mid turn, noticing the small bright thing. Raquel is a writer and a spiritual guide, a feminist scholar who spent two decades inside academia before she built a business she actually loves, and what we ended up circling was the tender place a woman lands once the work finally feels good, when the question stops being how do I make this work and becomes what kind of life am I building now that I get to choose. She is a Prolific Alchemist, and you can watch her archetype move through the whole hour, the fire that dreams up a summit and the same fire that inflates it into a production of five hundred people before the idea has even finished arriving, when her creative spirit was only ever asking her to invite a few women onto a Zoom during her favorite season, and let it be simple, and let it go. We talked about that, and about being allowed to be a beginner after a lifetime of being the smart girl, and about Cassandra and the story Hollywood keeps trying to resolve that cannot be resolved, and about the business itself being the disruption. Come sit with us. Raquel’s Musings * “I’m a generator. I don’t know how I feel until I’m in something.” * “Where did my brain go? It went to like five hundred people, and I have to make it this production, versus my creative spirit is just saying, invite a couple people to a conversation, have some fun, and host an event during your favorite time of year, and then let it go.” * “Getting these degrees was harder than half the stuff I’ve done in this business.” * “He sees it from me as a way of, oh, that woman cares. He sees it from you like it’s a threat, because the positionality is different.” * “The business is like the hugest disruption I could create.” Dr. Raquel Corona (she/her) is a spiritual guide, a weaver of words and worlds, and the creatrix of Truly Yours, Salud. With nearly two decades of experience in writing and higher education, she helps women cut through the world’s noise so they can finally hear the voice within. Website: https://www.trulyyourssalud.com/Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@TrulyYoursSaludInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/trulyyourssalud LUSH Business Academy Raquel named LUSH Business Academy in the episode all on her own, and it is the place I teach women to fold all their scattered gifts into one signature offer that pays them every month instead of the launch and hope cycle. xoxo, Sora PS. Ep 91. These 7 Phases Explain Everything Happening in Your Business Right Now

I think about you, the coach and healer sitting at your desk working on your projects because you love what you do and because being of service is simply who you are. This episode explores how your business, much like planets, speaks through energy, moving through cyclical phases as a sacred language. We discuss the seven conversations or phases your business experiences, highlighting how understanding this business cycle and implementing effective business systems can lead to spiritual growth and clarity in your business strategy. I introduce The Sacred Language of a Soulful Business, a framework rooted in planetary energy and the DEVOTED Method that maps the seven conversations your business moves through over and over again, in your days, your weeks, and your seasons. Once you learn to recognize which conversation you are in, the hard seasons stop feeling like failures and start feeling like invitations. This one is intimate and cozy. Grab your notebook and something warm to drink, and settle in. What You'll Discover * Why the dip, the despondency, and the "I don't want to do this anymore" is not a problem to solve but a conversation to enter * How to locate yourself honestly inside the seven conversations so you know exactly where you are in your cycle * Why pushing through the wrong phase costs you more energy than simply honoring where you are * How your business communicates with you the same way the planets do, through energy, feeling, and frequency * What each of the seven faces of your business is asking of you, and the ritual that belongs to each one Reflection Questions * Which of the seven faces feels most true to where you are right now in your business? Not where you wish you were. Where you actually are. * Which conversation have you been trying to skip or rush through, and what has that cost you? * What would it feel like to give yourself full permission to be exactly in the conversation you are in, trusting that the next one is already on its way? Your business has always been speaking to you. These seven conversations are its sacred language, and you are not behind for not having known this sooner. You are simply becoming fluent.Pause. Open. Scanning the Room: An Action by a Daughter of Immigrants

As I enter a space, I bear down, anchoring my heart and feeling the ripples of nerves in my stomach because the desire to belong is nestled in my programming and hard to unravel. As a child, I would be tucked into bed while my mom slowly read children’s books in English, learning the words as she taught me what was not our mother language. There was an unspoken pact that we must find ways to fit ourselves into a society that did not necessarily want us or respect us, but there was no turning back. I was born in the states and my parents left everything to come as immigrants. Though my dad may say there was nothing there to leave behind, so this was more than he ever had to begin with. Every classroom I entered, I was lucky enough to find an array of kids who spoke different languages, sparked different conversations, and grappled with being of this world and not. As I grew older, this experience became less and less. As an adult, when I enter spaces, I scan the room both virtually and in person, hoping that the host has ensured everyone feels seen and heard and that all were invited to enter in a way that felt comfortable to them. If you are a seasoned space holder, a coach, a healer and you are exploring your legacy work, then you are entering into your season of sacred spiritual leadership. What a threshold to cross! Celebrating you. I invite you to come closer and consider as part of your legacy work, taking a macro look at your business, your community, your clients and noticing if there is still an area of improvement that must be addressed so that you are living what you believe in. And if that includes diversity and inclusivity, then we are in harmonious partnership. I’d love to gently share some simple ways to live and breathe the work. The first step is educating yourself. The second is looking at your business through this lens. But checking off the boxes doesn’t mean you are embodying it, and this is a felt expression. If you do not see marginalized people entering your space, they do not feel welcomed. This has nothing to do with having a DEI statement on your site. They don’t feel comfortable or trust you, and your group programs will not be a place where they have a sense of belonging. Here are the ones that you may have already considered: Your purchasing power and support: * Buy from women owned, BIPOC owned, LGBTQ+ owned businesses * Hire coaches or purchase products from diverse creators * Donate to funds that need immediate support * Use your money to support the values you claim In how you learn: * Read books and recommend books from the BIPOC community * Listen to podcasts from people who share strategies from a decolonized len * Get coached by and purchase courses from BIPOC educators and those doing the work * Listen to feedback and do better based on people’s suggestions * Stay curious all the time and witness the systemic injustice that happens all the time. Don’t look away and recognize how it shows up even in subtle ways. The above are so important. But there is something that is much more important to me. The only way I can begin to trust you is to witness how you live in your everyday moments. This comes through naturally. I can see what you love to watch, the food you eat, the recipes you cook, the products you purchase, the books you read because you share openly with your readers, followers, and clients. ⇨ Now if you don’t, and you are only polished or show behind the scenes curated based on what you want ideal clients to know, then that tells me you are hiding parts of yourself and I have no idea what you actually stand for, what you support, and what injustices actually matter to you. So, the small ways I invite you to begin embodying diversity and inclusivity is to travel to countries that are not English speaking or predominantly Western and enjoy soaking in the culture and language. Go to all the different festivals that celebrate cultural diversity. Not only eat food from different cultures but cook them too. Do you know how fun it is to learn about different spices and explore international markets? Watch shows where the main characters are diverse. Read books, especially from BIPOC authors or where the storyline isn’t only about cis folks living and exploring mainstream issues. Have real conversations with people from different backgrounds, not to focus on their differences but simply to remind yourself how similar we are and that we are not other, less than, scary, or too different. Be willing to f**k it up and admit when there is an issue within your business at this moment in time. Then figure out how to fix it. I am not a DEI expert, so I still mess up. I believe in apologizing and repairing relationships, and these conversations are not easy but necessary. * What if you didn’t sit in ambiguity or stay silent, especially if you feel the niggle that you are out of alignment? * What can you do so others know where you stand on issues? * How can you do this in a way that is in alignment with you? You don’t have to be the loudest, but there are ways that you can add to the change. And please make your space one where people don’t have to dig and investigate and question whether your space is one where they can be seen, feel sacred, and feel welcomed. xoxo, Thanks for reading Devoted Way with Sora Schilling! Here's My Exact Client Journey Process Thinking about improving your group coaching program, mastermind, or course experience? In this episode, I'm pulling back the curtain on my entire client journey inside the LUSH Business Mastermind. From the moment someone says yes to their final offboarding. This is perfect timing if you're in that November energy of wanting to pause, reflect, and see what you can improve before the new year. I'm sharing the exact systems, automations, and client care practices that make my clients feel deeply held throughout their six month container. In this episode I cover: The complete onboarding automation sequence I use and why it creates a grounded entry experience.  How I use Ivorey (white label Go High Level) to house everything and eliminate manual tasks.  My weekly communication strategy and why clients need to know what's happening each week.  The tools I use for client notes, session recordings, and important date tracking.  Why I introduce new members to the community instead of making them introduce themselves.  My resigning and offboarding process with built in timeline notifications.  What I expect from mastermind clients and how circular leadership shows up in the container. Key takeaway: Your backend systems directly impact how held your clients feel. When you create seamless processes, your clients energetically sense it even if they never see the work you've done. This increases retention and allows you to spend less time chasing new clients.
