    “In a world of black and white, we are the colour.” Dang, Dee is so wise and so eloquent. We started talking about what it’s really like to live the life of a multipassionate. You know… being the kind of people who have a million dreams, a new idea every ten minutes, and more than enough passions to fill a lifetime. And then the conversation took a huge tangent, and I had a few big life realizations about (you guessed it), the millennial urge to compare ourselves to everyone around us. That whole “am I falling behind?” apparently is still hitting. (I'm coming to think, maybe that’s my real hyperfixation at this point.) We talked about the reality that sometimes doing a mix of things that fill your cup, also can leave you feeling like maybe you're moving slower on them all as a result. But seriously, I think every multipassionate human listening would agree. Being a multipassionate means you’re juggling multiple dreams at once. It’s fun and full and slightly chaotic in the best way. And when all your passions line up for a second, and everything clicks? That feeling is unmatched.     Oh, what I would give to wake up to overnight success tomorrow! (Just kidding I actually kinda love the grind of it all.) But still!! We hear, see, and watch so many people achieve “overnight success” online all the time, but call me a myth-buster, I don’t think that’s real… Melissa joined me on the podcast today and shared a bit of her journey, which was such an inspiring reminder that starting businesses is SO hard, but also SO rewarding. We chatted about working with family, navigating sharing the journey online, and some parts of running a business that definitely aren’t as fun to share on social media. I really appreciated this conversation and her vulnerability in sharing the dichotomy of running a business, feeling both incredibly fulfilling and often exhausting simultaneously.
