Huarinami: Having coined the phrase "Lush Punk" to describe their music it's hard to imagine a better term to describe the music of this French London-based band. With a lyrical delivery occasionally reminiscent of Wet Leg the band effortlessly switch from etherial soundscapes to attitude fill psyche out! Masi Masi: Drawing comparisons with the likes of Beck and Bowie, Bradford born Masi Masi (or Joe as he's otherwise known) creates fun, dynamic and witty pop sounds with a 90s vibe. The Falls: Manchester punk with some smooth indie edges! Relentless drums, driving bass, a dark lyrcical delivery and a whole load of attitude. This week; SKORTS: Super cool band ripped from the New York underground rock scene.     Ready for a musical journey! All three of this weeks featured acts have very different musical styles but all have one thing in common, they're bloody awesome. Switch on, lock in, this is some of the good stuff... Embrace: 30 years making music has not dulled the flame for Embrace. ‘Avalanche’ is an album brimming with a confidence that only 3 decades of mastery can bring. It somehow manages to push the bands sound to a fresh new place whilst being quintessentially “Embrace” at the same time. McGrath: Stunning songwriting with a traditional Irish heart its almost impossible to think that 'Rotha', given how accomplished it is, is the debut song from this young talent. It's got us suitably excited about what is to come. Pihka Is My Name x IanGX: Pinka's scandi disco pop layers brilliantly with the rock-inspired vocals of IanGX (Katalina Kicks / Amongst Liars) to create something somewhere between Talking Heads, Marilyn Manson and 30 Seconds To Mars. Rev and Makers: The latest offering from Jon McClure is a record that sounds both confident in its songwriting ability and comfortable in its own skin. The Rev is turning up the Northern Soul inspiration for new album ‘Is This How Happiness Feels’ and the result is a stand out LP from the bands 20 years making music. The Gulps: European punk rock with a very UK sound. It’s easy to see why Mr Oasis, Alan McGee has chosen to back The Gulps and signed them to his Label, It’s Creation Baby. Mixing spikey punk vibes with strong melody in a way that is reminiscent of The Buzzcocks, ‘Got Ya’ is a tune you’ll struggle to sit still to! Untold River: Combining the heart of England’s North West with the sounds of the US, Untold River pays tribute to his old and new homes with “Tragedy on Market Street” revealing some clever songwriting and brilliant musicianship.
