Michelle Jane Lee: Lessons in power through kink/bdsm dynamics (Ep. 04)

Each time my friend Michelle Jane Lee would tell me about her relationship with kink/BDSM my mind sparked with intrigue. As a firm Dom, she would explain her relationships, particularly with a perfect ex-Sub, as entering a “space beyond love”. Given the fact Michelle is a devastatingly talented painter, poet/writer, and chef — it’s no surprise I was viscerally touched by her explanations. Her perspective is glistening. Each time we’d dive into the topic it would leave me with tears in my eyes. On this episode, we dive into the poetic intricacies of the realms shared between the Sub and the Dom. Plus, we investigate how to apply these power structures towards a broader sense of the world, to see if in some way, this can help you identify and activate untapped realms of your own power.

Chris Chidi: Daydreams are the key to new world-building (Ep. 03)

The moment you meet fashion stylist and editor Chris Chidi you are in an elastic spree of her excitement, curiosity, and penchant to understand the world. At a party, you’ll find her in circles of deep conversation discussing art, revolutionary social change, and the complexities of being human.  On set, you can find her creating statuesque looks. Her styling choices are distinct. A commanding, playful, and fortified femininity is explored through her work. You feel more like her subjects are characters revolving in a fairy-tale like world.  In our conversation, we discuss topics like her experience of growing up a Valley girl then moving to Lagos, Nigeria, her very intuitive journey of becoming a stylist, and the fine balance of protecting your freedom as an artist when it becomes the way you make a living.

Reina Hardesty: Actors aren't supposed to be cool (Ep. 02)

A conversation lying in the grass, with my close friend, actress and artist Reina Hardesty. We discuss how to engineer magical experiences in Los Angeles, the total internal transformation she underwent filming her lead role in Butterfly in Korea (coming out later this year on Amazon), and how celebrating discomfort turns you into a better artist (and human being).  To unlock a bonus segment where Reina reveals how she up-leveled her acting technique working on set alongside Daniel Dae Kim in Butterfly and how she goes to ballet as a humiliation ritual (lol) — become a paid subscriber at https://halleta.substack.com/s/the-podcast. Jordan Santos: The conception of Seen Library (Ep. 01)

A conversation with my dear friend Jordan Santos about how her journey of being a coveted social media consultant and influencer led her to uncover her truest desire, creating Seen Library. A community for readers and book lovers to converse and connect in real life over the stories that touch them and inspire ways of engaging with the world.
