Hope for the Mind
Hope for the Mind is a mental health and psychology podcast for people who are fascinated by why we think, feel, and behave the way we do… and who also appreciate a little humor while we figure it out. Hosted by Kristin Ontiveros, the show dives into mental health, ADHD, relationships, trauma, parenting, personality, narcissism, human behavior, and all the other wonderfully complicated things our brains get us into. Some episodes get deep. Some challenge popular psychology. Some might make you rethink something you’ve believed for years. And some are basically, “Okay, but WHY does my brain do this?” Expect real conversations, psychological research explained like a normal person, relatable life experiences, humor, occasional interviews, and absolutely no pretending that any of us have it all figured out. Kristin holds a BS in Psychology and an MA in Human Services Counseling and is currently completing an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She brings an informed perspective to the conversation without turning every episode into a psychology lecture. Faith is part of the conversation too, but so are questions, nuance, science, and the messy reality of being human. Hope for the Mind isn’t therapy, and it isn’t another “just think positive” self-help podcast. It’s a place to understand your mind, talk about the things we usually avoid, laugh at ourselves a little, and maybe walk away thinking, Well… that explains a lot. New episodes regularly.
