    And for the best planner, an award ( or maybe not )

    Guys, the last time I was here, I said I was going to be consistent. Well, that didn't happen, and for that, I'm sincerely sorry. 🥹 Today, I reflect on how our perfect plans might not be so perfect after all. On the days when things don't go our way, we sometimes find ourselves getting mad at God. Why? Because we believe that the thing we wanted, the thing we prayed for, was the perfect option for us. But that's quite a statement, don't you think? We, who do not even know what will happen to us in the next hour, somehow convince ourselves that the Lord is withholding His goodness from us when things don't go as planned. And honestly, I don't think that's true. Maybe whatever you lost while choosing to stay with God was meant to leave. Maybe the things we desperately want aren't always the things we need. And perhaps we think a little too highly of our own plans because, somehow, we believe that getting what we asked for would automatically make our lives better. But really, guys, we are men of limited vision. We don't see the whole picture, and as much as we like to think otherwise, we aren't always the best at planning our lives. So, how about we loosen our grip on the things we think we need to have figured out? How about we trust that the God who sees what we cannot see is not working against us?     Today, I reflect on how important it is to not get stuck in the past or think the best things life could ever offer you have come to an end. Reminiscing on the good old days is never a bad thing but the truth is, things are never going to be the same and that's okay Things look different now but I promise it gets better You have to constantly mutter to yourself 'I will never know a better yesterday' In the end, you are the girl who is going to be okay ( and yes, girl in this context is about identity not gender) Your life is a canvas and God ( the greatest artist ) is making something beautiful out of it.     THE ILLUSION OF PERFECTION

    Many times in life we find ourselves longingly looking at the field of others and then thoughts like "how I wish that was me" "A's life is seems so put together compared to mine" starts to creep in that we fail to remember it's all an illusion. No one on earth has a perfect life, we all just do a great job of hiding our pain because no one wants to be perceived as a wreck. So, instead of wasting so much time with comparison, how about we water our own gardens and not fixate on the things our hands haven't quite reached.
