    A Container For Joy: Rebuilding the Round Barn in Santa Rosa

When the historic Fountaingrove Round Barn—built in 1899 by California "Wine Baron" Kanaye Nagasawa—burned to the ground during the Tubbs Fire, its destruction became a heartbreaking symbol of community loss. In this episode, host Michelle Marques takes us up to a hillside overlooking Santa Rosa to visit a remarkable rebuilding effort. Local farmer and architect Ken Moholt Siebert lost his home in the fires, but is using his skills to recreate the iconic landmark just north of its original site. In today’s encore episode, host Michelle Marques heads to Russian River Books and Letters, an independent bookstore in Guerneville to talk about literacy, schools, community, and the things that connect us. Parent Christie George wanted to help Monte Rio School, so she reached out to Principal Liza Eichert with an innovative idea.
