Excellent

Everything about this show is great. Love the variety of authors, narrators, and stories. Great host, too.

Annoying host

So much bloviating at the end of every one of these. Good stories, bookended by a lot of worthless blather.

You need this in your life.

This podcast is good in all the ways an audio outfit can be good. They are always gleaning different types and facets of horror from human beings for human beings. There are no cold, icy accounts of gore here with people as chattel. Here is living, breathing horror in the hearts, ugly scrunched faces, sweaty armpits, aching unrequited loves, bitter pride, anguished oppressions, historical fictions in color, and apocalyptic news reels you don't as much hear as sense unfolding across the globe. There are female/trans/people of color represented regularly. Listeners are beseeched to join the circle, talk on the forums, submit to the editors, and toss coins into the hat for the artists. And the host, Alasdair, is just incredibly likable and real.
