    AI and Education: Preparing Students for a Changing World of Work

    AI is changing how we work. What should schools and colleges do to prepare students for a future that may look very different by the time they graduate? A photo edit at happy hour took me three minutes. As someone who spent years doing professional photography, I knew what that work used to involve. That small moment brought me back to a much bigger question: what happens when more of the work we train people to do becomes accessible through a conversation? Drawing on 18 years in education IT and my own experiments with AI, I explore technology fluency, support for teachers, the experience students gain from first jobs, and how college could put more emphasis on solving real problems. This isn't a prediction that every job will disappear or that college is pointless. It's a conversation about preparing people while the technology is still changing.
