Episode 85: Had a Bad Month? Here's Your 3-Step Rescue Plan to Bounce Back Fast

Welcome back to She's Making Millions, the podcast for powerhouse women ready to scale, lead, and build true wealth. If you're building a business designed for freedom, impact, and legacy, this is the space for you. Summary & Show Notes Summary: Had a rough month in your business? You're not alone  and panicking is the worst thing you can do about it. In this solo episode, Taylor breaks down the two instinctive (and costly) reactions most business owners have to negative cash flow, slashing prices and hustling for new customers  and why both backfire. Then she walks through her three-part Bad Month Rescue Plan: running a client reactivation campaign, upselling existing customers into a higher-touch offer, and setting up a line of credit as a safety net for future dips. One of Taylor's clients used the reactivation strategy alone to bring in $14,000 in 48 hours. Taylor also reframes the idea of business debt as the difference between debt and leverage  and shares how these strategies tie into what's coming at She's Making Millions Live. Key Takeaways: A negative cash flow month happens to every business owner  it's not a sign of failure, it's a normal part of growth and risk-taking The two wrong reactions to a bad month: discounting your prices and hustling exclusively for new customers Existing customers are your fastest path to cash  they already know, like, and trust you Strategy 1: Run a client reactivation campaign (refreshed offer + outreach to past clients) every 2–3 months Strategy 2: Upsell current customers into a higher, more premium level of service or support Strategy 3: Set up a line of credit or overdraft facility as a safety net before you need it Reframing debt as leverage  the difference is whether it's funding growth or funding bills A real client example: $14,000 generated in 48 hours from a single reactivation text blast 🔗 Links & Resources: Connect with Taylor: Follow She's Making Millions on Instagram:@shesmakingmillions Follow Taylor on Instagram: @taylor.victoriaa Subscribe to Taylor's YouTube Channel: Taylor Victoria Get your free 30-day GHL trial here: https://www.gohighlevel.com/shes-making-millions?fp_ref=level-up-outsourcing23 Keep growing with us Join the FREE She's Making Millions Skool community for monthly scaling challenges, worksheets, live Q&As, and bonus trainings Take the 2minutes free audit to find the number one bottleneck in your business Join other 499 women at our first-ever conference on November 15-17th at The Glasshouse, Gold Coast. Episode 84: The Hidden Cost of Stress on Your Body & Business with Dr. Lara Goode

Welcome back to She's Making Millions, the podcast for powerhouse women ready to scale, lead, and build true wealth. If you're building a business designed for freedom, impact, and legacy, this is the space for you. Episode Summary & Show Notes Summary: In this episode, Taylor sits down with Dr. Lara Goode, a doctor of osteopathic medicine and founder of Coastal Therapies in the Northern Rivers  for the podcast's first-ever conversation with an osteopath. Laura shares the wild ride of building her clinic from scratch, including losing the entire business in the devastating 2022 Northern Rivers floods while 15 weeks pregnant, then rebuilding a space four times the size. From there, the conversation moves into Laura's zone of genius: what chronic stress and "high-functioning burnout" actually do to a woman's body  headaches, jaw clenching, gut issues, autoimmune flare-ups  and why she believes women are conditioned to have no boundaries at all. Laura also opens up about her own health scare: a sudden, stress-triggered hearing loss and her first Crohn's disease flare-up, and what it taught her about listening to the "whispers" before the body forces you to stop. This one is an equal parts business story and permission slip to slow down. Key Takeaways: Building a service-based business often means learning the business side (HR, systems, finances) the hard way  there's no such thing as starting "ready" The metrics allied-health and service businesses should track: room/staff utilisation, weekly turnover, rebooking rates, and what each unit of your business needs to generate to cover expenses "Tall poppy syndrome" and the discomfort around women discussing money are still very real  and worth pushing against High-functioning burnout shows up physically: headaches, migraines, jaw clenching, tight hips, gut issues, and can escalate into autoimmune conditions Women are often conditioned from childhood to be people-pleasers with no boundaries  and that conditioning shows up directly in business (and in burnout) Habit stacking  attaching a small stress-relief action to something you already do daily (brushing teeth, driving, making coffee)  is one of the easiest ways to build a nervous-system reset into a busy schedule Ignored stress signals can escalate to serious, sometimes irreversible, health outcomes  Laura shares her own experience with a stress-triggered Crohn's flare and sudden permanent hearing loss Building a business that isn't 100% reliant on you (systems, training, delegation) protects both your health and the long-term value of what you've built 🔗 Links & Resources: Connect with Dr. Lara Goodee https://www.linkedin.com/in/lara-goode-1017a9420/ https://www.instagram.com/drlaragoode/   Connect with Taylor: Follow She's Making Millions on Instagram:@shesmakingmillions Follow Taylor on Instagram: @taylor.victoriaa Subscribe to Taylor's YouTube Channel: Taylor Victoria Get your free 30-day GHL trial here: https://www.gohighlevel.com/shes-making-millions?fp_ref=level-up-outsourcing23 Keep growing with us Join the FREE She's Making Millions Skool community for monthly scaling challenges, worksheets, live Q&As, and bonus trainings Take the 2minutes free audit to find the number one bottleneck in your business Join other 499 women at our first-ever conference on November 15-17th at The Glasshouse, Gold Coast. Episode 83: How to Prepare for BAS and Tax Bills Without the Financial Stress

Welcome back to She's Making Millions, the podcast for powerhouse women ready to scale, lead, and build true wealth. If you're building a business designed for freedom, impact, and legacy, this is the space for you. Summary & Show Notes Summary: Tax time is stressful  but if you're consistently shocked by your BAS or income tax bill, Taylor says the tax bill isn't the problem, your money management behaviour is. In this candid, no-fluff solo episode, Taylor breaks down the exact system she uses to make sure she always has her tax money ready, sourced from a Profit First–style approach: separate bank accounts, calculated percentages, and weekly allocations for GST, income tax, and employee tax. She unpacks the three most common ways business owners accidentally land in ATO debt, and gives a step-by-step method (including the actual math) to calculate your own percentages from your profit and loss statement. Key Takeaways: GST, employee tax, and super are never "your" money the moment you receive them  they belong to the ATO and your employees from day one. The most common ways business owners end up in ATO debt: forgetting to allocate for income tax (not just BAS), staying in an old tax bracket as income grows, and taking director drawings without declaring PAYG. Once you're earning $150k–$200k as a sole trader, it's worth exploring a company structure. The flat 25% company tax rate can be significantly lower than escalating sole trader tax brackets. Set up three separate accounts (GST, income tax, employee tax) in a different bank, and deliberately make it hard to access  no saved logins, no banking app on your phone. Calculate percentages, not dollar amounts, from your last financial year's profit and loss statement, so allocations scale automatically as income changes. GST is roughly 1/11th of every dollar earned (~9–10%); when unsure, defaulting to 10% builds in a buffer. This is a weekly habit, not a quarterly scramble. Taylor uses a spreadsheet to calculate her allocations every single week. Disclaimer: Taylor is not an accountant or financial advisor. This is the personal money management system that works for her business, shared for educational purposes and always confirms specifics with your accountant. Episode 82: How The Laundry Lady Grew From One Mum to 550 Contractors Worldwide with Susan Toft

Welcome back to She's Making Millions, the podcast for powerhouse women ready to scale, lead, and build true wealth. If you're building a business designed for freedom, impact, and legacy, this is the space for you.     Summary & Show Notes Summary: Susan Toft never planned to build an international company; she just wanted to get her own laundry pile under control. Thirteen years later, she's the founder and CEO of The Laundry Lady, an eight-figure business with 550 independent "Laundry Partners" operating across three countries (with a fourth about to launch) and a near-20-person head office team. In this episode, Susan gets candid about the parts of the journey most founders don't post about: getting divorced and becoming a single mum mid-build, staying stuck doing the laundry herself for years because there was no money to hire out, and finally going all-in after a post-COVID redundancy forced her hand. She and Taylor dig into what it actually takes to raise investment as a woman founder, how to find (and vet) the right investors and board members, why showing up on camera is non-negotiable for growth even when you hate it, and what she'd tell herself at the very start if she could go back. Key Takeaways: The "overnight success" was 13 years in the making. Susan spent years stuck doing the laundry herself because there wasn't a budget to hire out  and that grind became the knowledge base her whole contractor model is built on today. Life doesn't pause for your business plan. Divorce, single motherhood, redundancy, and debt all happened mid-build. Real scale only started in the last 5–6 years, post-COVID, when she committed full-time. You are the marketing. Paid ads (Meta and Google) drive growth, but Susan says the founder telling her story "unashamedly" is what makes the organic side  and the ad performance  actually work. Camera confidence is built, not born. Susan describes channeling a "different version" of herself (her own Sasha Fierce) and says the fix for camera fear is simply repetition, start small and stay consistent. Not all investor money is equal. Susan didn't understand the difference between VC, angel, and impact investors when she started  and finding investors aligned with her values (not just her growth curve) was the real unlock. A board changes how you lead. Bringing on investors meant setting up a formal board for the first time  and pushed Susan from "hands-on operator" toward "strategic visionary" leadership. International expansion is logistics before its strategy. Time zones, market visits, and figuring out how much support work happens locally vs. from home base all have to be solved before the marketing plan matters. 🔗 Links & Resources: Connect with Susan Toft https://www.susantoft.com.au/ LinkedIn:  https://www.linkedin.com/in/susan-toft-b855ab41/ Instagram:  https://www.instagram.com/laundryladyboss/   Connect with Taylor: Follow She's Making Millions on Instagram:@shesmakingmillions Follow Taylor on Instagram: @taylor.victoriaa Subscribe to Taylor's YouTube Channel: Taylor Victoria Get your free 30-day GHL trial here: https://www.gohighlevel.com/shes-making-millions?fp_ref=level-up-outsourcing23 Keep growing with us Join the FREE She's Making Millions Skool community for monthly scaling challenges, worksheets, live Q&As, and bonus trainings Take the 2minutes free audit to find the number one bottleneck in your business Join other 499 women at our first-ever conference on November 15-17th at The Glasshouse, Gold Coast. Episode 81: 3 Popular Business Coach Tips That Are Keeping You Stuck at 6 Figures

Welcome back to She's Making Millions, the podcast for powerhouse women ready to scale, lead, and build true wealth. If you're building a business designed for freedom, impact, and legacy, this is the space for you.     📝 Episode Summary & Show Notes Summary: In this episode, Taylor calls out three pieces of common business advice that sound smart but are quietly keeping women stuck under $1 million in revenue. She breaks down why relying on word-of-mouth referrals isn't a growth strategy, why raising your prices won't fix a broken offer, and why the real difference between six- and seven-figure businesses isn't hustling  its infrastructure. If you're doing everything yourself and still not scaling, this episode explains exactly why. Key Takeaways: Referrals are a bonus, not a growth engine; they're outside your control, which makes them unpredictable and unscalable. A predictable growth engine (an automated marketing system) is what allows you to scale leads up or down on demand. Raising prices before fixing a broken offer just kills your conversion rate; restructure first (bonuses, guarantees, risk reversals), then raise prices. Fast, seamless delivery increases perceived value and makes higher prices feel like a no-brainer to clients. The jump from six to seven figures isn't about working more hours; it's about building infrastructure: systems, team, AI, and dashboards/KPIs to track it all. Without infrastructure, you don't have a business; you have a high-paying job you built for yourself. Taylor's Boardroom program helps women fix their offer, raise prices strategically, and build the team/AI infrastructure to turn their business into a true income-producing asset. Episode 80: How to Build an Exit-Ready Business That Runs Without You with Marina Passalaris

Welcome back to She's Making Millions, the podcast for powerhouse women ready to scale, lead, and build true wealth. If you're building a business designed for freedom, impact, and legacy, this is the space for you.     Summary & Show Notes Summary Twenty-five years ago, Marina started running conversations with teenage girls out of her own experience with anxiety, no business plan, no funding, just a felt calling. Today she runs Beautiful Minds Australia, a global family wellbeing experience business relocating its head office to Singapore, expanding into the US, and backed by a board that includes former Hollywood heavyweights. In this episode, Taylor sits down with Marina to unpack how a "passion project" became a 25-year, multi-country business that has never once failed to sell out an event  and why she believes AI will never be able to replace what she builds. They cover the real reason most businesses die around year five (and the five things Marina credits for lasting decades), how COVID permanently rewired her business model, why she deliberately never put her own name on the company, how she built a board of advisors who "terrify" her in the best way, and why she believes women are still far too scared to talk about money, exits, and big numbers out loud. Key Takeaways Why the events/experience economy is AI-proof. Marina explains why top VCs are pouring money into face-to-face, human-led experiences because families won't pay to connect with their kids via a robot host. The 5 pillars behind a 25-year business. Cash flow discipline, selling something people genuinely need, being relentlessly excellent, fixing mistakes fast, and hiring (and firing) well. Never name your business after yourself. Marina's early decision to keep her name off the brand  and off social media  was a deliberate exit strategy move. How to build a board that actually stretches you. Don't recruit people at your level, recruit people who terrify you a little. Build for the exit from day one. The difference between a "hobby" and a sellable business is whether you have a real number and a real plan. COVID changed who the business serves. Beautiful Minds pivoted from supporting kids alone to supporting entire families, recognising the trauma ripple effects of lockdown. Global expansion, real talk. Why Beautiful Minds moved its head office to Singapore and what the US go-to-market strategy actually looks like. The "tall poppy" problem. Marina and Taylor get candid about the backlash women face for talking about money and thinking big. About the Guest Marina is the founder and director of Beautiful Minds Australia, a family wellbeing experience company she built from a grassroots teen mental health workshop into a 25-year global business now headquartered in Singapore and expanding into the US. Beautiful Minds runs father/son, father/daughter, mother/son, mother/daughter and women's retreat experiences across Australia, including a new women's retreat at Soma in Byron Bay. 🔗 Links & Resources: Connect with Marina Passalaris https://beautifulminds.co/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/marinapassalaris/ Connect with Taylor: Follow She's Making Millions on Instagram:@shesmakingmillions Follow Taylor on Instagram: @taylor.victoriaa Subscribe to Taylor's YouTube Channel: Taylor Victoria Get your free 30-day GHL trial here: https://www.gohighlevel.com/shes-making-millions?fp_ref=level-up-outsourcing23 Keep growing with us Join the FREE She's Making Millions Skool community for monthly scaling challenges, worksheets, live Q&As, and bonus trainings Take the 2minutes free audit to find the number one bottleneck in your business Join other 499 women at our first-ever conference on November 15-17th at The Glasshouse, Gold Coast. Episode 79: The 3 Hiring Mistakes Killing Your Delegation (It's Not Their Fault, It's Yours)

Welcome back to She's Making Millions, the podcast for powerhouse women ready to scale, lead, and build true wealth. If you're building a business designed for freedom, impact, and legacy, this is the space for you.     SUMMARY & SHOW NOTES Summary After five years running an outsourcing agency and hearing every business owner's "deepest, darkest secrets," Taylor Victoria is naming the pattern she sees over and over: when hiring goes wrong, it's almost never the staff member's fault. In this episode, Taylor breaks down the three biggest mistakes business owners make before they even bring someone on  and gives you the exact fixes to build a team that actually performs. Key Takeaways 95% of the time, a bad hiring experience is the business owner's fault  not the staff member's. Mistake #1: No documented processes. If your workflows only exist in your head, your team can't replicate your standard. Taylor shares her whiteboard + sticky note method for mapping your marketing/sales process and fulfillment process, then turning each step into a Loom-recorded SOP. Mistake #2: Delegating tasks instead of outcomes. Telling someone "make 5 graphics and post them" isn't the same as giving them a KPI like growing followers by 50/month and engagement by 20%. Task-only delegation means your team never thinks about the result you actually want. The fix: Build a KPI tracking system that defines what's unsatisfactory, what meets expectations, and what exceeds them  so your team knows exactly how to win, not just how to stay afloat. Mistake #3: Not letting go of control. Especially common for creative founders. Micromanaging without SOPs or KPIs in place is a losing game  but once those two systems exist, Taylor says team performance improves dramatically. If it still doesn't, that's your signal to replace, not micromanage. The mindset shift: "Delegation isn't losing control, it's gaining freedom." Freedom just has a setup cost. 🔗 Links & Resources: Connect with Taylor: Follow She's Making Millions on Instagram:@shesmakingmillions Follow Taylor on Instagram: @taylor.victoriaa Subscribe to Taylor's YouTube Channel: Taylor Victoria Get your free 30-day GHL trial here: https://www.gohighlevel.com/shes-making-millions?fp_ref=level-up-outsourcing23 Keep growing with us Join the FREE She's Making Millions Skool community for monthly scaling challenges, worksheets, live Q&As, and bonus trainings Take the 2minutes free audit to find the number one bottleneck in your business Join other 499 women at our first-ever conference on November 15-17th at The Glasshouse, Gold Coast. Episode 78: How Women Entrepreneurs Can Become Paid Speakers Using Storytelling with Jacqueline Brooker

Welcome back to She's Making Millions, the podcast for powerhouse women ready to scale, lead, and build true wealth. If you're building a business designed for freedom, impact, and legacy, this is the space for you.     Episode Summary & Show Notes Summary Taylor sits down with speaker coach, trainer, and 10-year industry veteran Jacqueline Brooker for a masterclass in public speaking  from her unexpected origin story (a one-hour-notice keynote in front of 200 people) to the exact frameworks she now teaches women who want to speak professionally or use speaking as a platform to scale their business. They cover why confidence is a variable but evidence is stackable, the "engine room" structure behind every unforgettable talk, the two biggest mistakes women make on stage, and how to generate six and seven figures from speaking without ever pitching from the podium. Key Takeaways Confidence is a variable, but evidence is stackable. You don't need to feel ready, you need small wins you can stack, one on top of the other. The "engine room" is where you get remembered. Open in story (15–25% of your talk time), then deliver your most valuable, actionable content in the middle  peppered with micro-stories to keep the energy up. The two biggest mistakes women make when speaking for revenue: (1) leading with your idea and experience instead of the problem you solve, and (2) the "accidental apology"  , anything that opens with "sorry, I'm nervous" that trades your authority for the audience's sympathy. "Be so good they come to find you." Outbound gets you in the room; being exceptional is what gets you rebooked, referred, and paid. The FSD (First [S****y] Draft) rule. Your first speech in the market doesn't need to be perfect, it needs to hit oxygen so you can learn how it actually lands. You can generate serious revenue without selling from the stage. Jacqueline's "convert loop" framework threads your methodology through the story so people run to you afterward  no pitch required. Use AI to research, not to write. Jacqueline recommends deep-research tools like Claude or Perplexity to find speaking opportunities  but never to draft your actual speech, pitch, or outreach emails. About Jacqueline Brooker Jacqueline is a speaker, coach, and trainer working with two types of clients: women who want to become paid professional speakers, and women who want to use speaking as a platform to grow their business. Before this chapter, she was a CEO in traffic control and mining services, an industrial relations negotiator, and ran a multi-million-dollar family business she took over from her mother at 29. 🔗 Links & Resources: Connect with Jacqueline Brooker https://businessofspeaking.com.au/ https://www.instagram.com/businessofspeakinghq/ Connect with Taylor: Follow She's Making Millions on Instagram:@shesmakingmillions Follow Taylor on Instagram: @taylor.victoriaa Subscribe to Taylor's YouTube Channel: Taylor Victoria Get your free 30-day GHL trial here: https://www.gohighlevel.com/shes-making-millions?fp_ref=level-up-outsourcing23 Keep growing with us Join the FREE She's Making Millions Skool community for monthly scaling challenges, worksheets, live Q&As, and bonus trainings Take the 2minutes free audit to find the number one bottleneck in your business
