    Talitha Cumi | Mark 5:21-43 | Rhona M Tackie

In this week’s sermon, Talitha Cumi, Rhona Tackie takes us through Mark 5:21–43 and explores the power of Jesus to bring healing, restoration, and life where there is suffering, fear, and even death. Through the intertwined stories of the woman who suffered from bleeding for twelve years and Jairus’ twelve-year-old daughter, we see that no situation is beyond the authority of Jesus. While the crowds pressed around Him out of curiosity, the woman reached out to Him in faith. Despite years of suffering and disappointment, her encounter with Jesus brought healing, peace, and a restored identity. She was no longer defined by her condition but affirmed by Jesus as a daughter. Likewise, when Jairus’ daughter appeared to have reached the end of her life, Jesus declared, “Talitha cumi” — meaning, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!” (Mark 5:41). What seemed final to those around her was not beyond His power. These encounters remind us that Jesus is not limited by time, natural circumstances, or even death itself. He brings holiness where there is uncleanness, freedom where there is oppression, and hope where there seems to be no way forward. As followers of Christ, we are called to move beyond simply being part of the crowd and to pursue a genuine relationship with Him through intentional devotion, discipline, prayer, and encounters with His presence. If Jesus has declared us free, why should we continue to live as though we are still bound? ————————————————————————————————— Subscribe to the ARC 2.0 channel to join our live Sunday services, stream our latest messages, and revisit your favourite sermons.Hit the Notification Bell so that you never miss an upload!ARC 2.0 is crowdfunding to restore our church building. What Have You Learned? | Mark 4:35-41 | Korede Temilade

In this week’s sermon, What Have You Learned?, we continue through Mark 4:35–41 and reflect on what the storm reveals about our faith, our hearing, and our response to Jesus. Are we simply entertained by Jesus, or are we willing to take Him as He is and leave the crowd behind? God often speaks truth and asks difficult questions in the middle of challenging seasons, but the question is: have we really heard Him? Like the good soil, disciples are called to hear, receive, ask questions, and allow the Word to take root. It all starts with a seed — and sometimes God even uses the storm to water what He has planted. —————————————————————————————————————————————————————Subscribe to the ARC 2.0 channel to join our live Sunday services, stream our latest messages, and revisit your favourite sermons.Hit the Notification Bell so that you never miss an upload!ARC 2.0 is crowdfunding to restore our church building. Selective Hearing | Mark 4:1-9 | Omar Tackie

In this week’s sermon, Selective Hearing, Omar Tackie takes us through the Parable of the Sower in Mark 4, challenging us to examine not whether we hear God’s Word, but how we respond when we hear it.Jesus uses something familiar—a farmer scattering seed—to explain something unfamiliar: the real issue is not the seed, but the soil. The Word of God is being spoken, but the condition of our hearts determines whether that Word takes root, survives, and produces fruit. In Mark 4:10, we see the distinction between those who hear and those who truly listen. The disciples didn’t always understand Jesus, but they asked questions. They stayed. They sought understanding rather than walking away. This reminds us that hearing Jesus is ultimately about our relationship with Him and our response to His Word. Are we still around Jesus when He tells us to forgive, to change, or to surrender something we don’t want to let go of?The different soils reveal the danger of becoming familiar with Christianity without being transformed by it. The seed on the path reminds us how easily the Word can bounce off our hearts when we become so accustomed to sin that it no longer bothers us. The rocky ground shows what happens when our faith has no depth—when Christianity becomes difficult and tribulation comes, we fall away. The thorns reveal how the concerns and distractions of the world can slowly choke out what God has planted in us.The danger is not simply refusing to hear God’s Word. It is becoming so familiar with it that we hear it repeatedly without allowing it to change us.The question is: Are we simply part of the crowd hearing Jesus, or are we the ones who stay, ask questions, seek Him, and allow His Word to produce fruit in our lives?—————————————————————————————————————————————————————Subscribe to the ARC 2.0 channel to join our live Sunday services, stream our latest messages, and revisit your favourite sermons.Hit the Notification Bell so that you never miss an upload!ARC 2.0 is crowdfunding to restore our church building. Are You Just Entertained? | Mark 3:7-21 | Bien-Aime Matanda

In this week’s sermon, Are You Just Entertained?, Bien-Aime Matanda challenges us to look beyond simply being entertained by Jesus and ask whether we are truly living as His disciples. Drawing from Mark 3:7–21, the message reminds us that following Jesus requires more than hearing His Word, we are called to put it into action, lay down our lives and allow our lives to reflect our status as disciples. Be entertained, but don’t let it stop there. Let your life reflect your status as a disciple, lay down your life and don’t look back. Following Jesus is worth it. —————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Subscribe to the ARC 2.0 channel to join our live Sunday services, stream our latest messages, and revisit your favourite sermons.Hit the Notification Bell so that you never miss an upload!ARC 2.0 is crowdfunding to restore our church building.
