Aloha, Family! Wow. We’re living in fast times, huh? It seems everyone can feel the accelerated energy on the planet right now. There are several factors playing out in our little journey of evolution and some guidance I want to offer for finding stability as we all raise our consciousness higher and higher until yes, world peace becomes a lived reality. Despite what it looks like right now, we’re headed there. Before I dive into that juicy topic, a quick note about the video above. I wrote this piece as a way of expressing the profundity of my journey with ‘Ulu the last three months. I mentioned ‘Ulu in my Intro to The Ophiuchus Chronicles, but for a quick recap it’s an ancient Mu/Hawaiian breath and movement technology that intentionally weaves together masculine and feminine energies within our body through the oscillation of the spine. In this practice, we focus on three energy centers - the Unihipili (feminine), the Uhane (masculine) and the Aumakua (androgynous.) The Aumakua is where the journey of establishing belonging, safety and a solid foundation in the Unihipili and merging that safety with the masculine drive to express in the world finally culminates in the marriage of the two into an exalted state of consciousness. In the ultimate expression, it’s transcendence. Which could be looked at as death, for sometimes that is how we move up the evolutionary ladder. It can also be looked at simply as raising the frequency of our lived reality every day. The Aumakua is called the sacred seven in the spinal cord and holds the codes of Ascension. Which is what I want to talk about today. What does ascension look like? Is it Jesus rising up in the clouds to meet the Father? Or are the images like that contained in myths all around the world pointing us to something else? The ascension of our own frequency. For me, this is what it’s all about. If you step wayyyyyy back and look at our existence here as a beautiful experiment of consciousness, the One seeking to fully know and be fully known by Itself - the One we might call God - then you can see that everything held in the minutia of our lives exists to serve this purpose. Consciousness coming to a greater level of “Know Thyself” through the living of our experiences here on Earth. Granted, that’s a super detached perspective (which sidenote, is the ticket to living in this world without experiencing it as living torment) so let’s bring this big concept into our reality. If you’ve been following the journey I laid out in my last two posts, perhaps you can feel the direction I’m headed. The last year of my life, actually the last ten years, can be summed up as a journey of ascension. This may be something I write about in more depth in the future, but you’ve gotten a taste of the trauma and abuse I came from, the healing I experienced through a renewed relationship with Mother Nature and then the death process I went through last fall and winter… which all brought me to this place I sit in now. I can honestly say I’ve landed after what felt like ten years of not knowing which way was up. The pieces of my foundation feel assembled in a way that support my dreams and desires, my determination and passion are BACK after a super long hiatus, and I feel stable. Maybe for the first time ever. It’s new, so I’m still checking in with myself every day in a little bit of a “hey, you still good?” kind of way. The beautiful thing is the answer so far has been a resounding yes. It should be said, this doesn’t mean I think I’ll never face challenges again. What it does mean is my identity has changed. Instead of seeing myself as a wounded bird defined by her trauma, I now see myself as the whole Immortal Creator I have always been – which I explored in the piece above. Even though I’m curiously launching into the experiment of what that looks like for me, something in my compositional make-up has changed. My frequency. I share this as a personal celebration and because it’s a real-life example of what I believe is possible for us as a species – individually and collectively. Let’s dive into that pool a bit, shall we? What does it mean to raise our frequency so we experience peace within and in the world? First, let’s establish common language. What is frequency? David R. Hawkins was the first one to describe emotions in terms of frequency, with the lowest of the low being shame. Our emotions generate a frequency in our lived experience and everything we see is through the lens of that frequency. Also, all of existence is experienced through frequency. How? Matter is made of energy… in fact, everything in our known Universe is comprised of energy existing in frequency bands. So to raise the frequency of our consciousness (or awareness) means increasing the energy we have available for living life, loving others and creating our future. Now that we know frequency is essentially everything we experience, we can begin the conversation around how we amp it up and ascend. I lived my first thirty-four years in the lowest of the low frequencies. Trauma and abuse are low vibe because it takes a radical experience of separation and loss of awareness to create the circumstances where it could even happen. I was cooked in that soup for many years and by the time I left, the low vibe emotions were densely stored in my body, mind and heart. The last ten years have been a journey of what some might call healing. I would call it purification. Alchemy. Taking the low frequencies (aka emotions) hardwired in my DNA, allowing them to surface, be witnessed and loved unconditionally, and transmuting them into the fuel and passion for my future. Pain to medicine. Grief to the Elixir of Life. It wasn’t an easy process, and when I entered this process of alchemy, I had no idea how long it would take. To be honest, when I left my mother’s home, I thought that would “fix” everything. But of course, as they say, “wherever you go, there you are.” I may write a whole post about the difference between healing and alchemy – in fact, if that interests you, let me know – because they are different frequencies. Again, with that word. Healing implies Life is broken. Alchemy refers to the fact that we came to Earth to descend into the density of this world and go through the process of waking up to remember the Creator I Am within. Whatever that means. Alchemy is the infusion of Divine consciousness into physical matter and to me, takes away the notion that something is wrong with the journey we’re experiencing. It was all supposed to be this way. Truly. I know I gave myself the challenges I’ve experienced in life so I could grow in strength and open my heart to Life itself in a wider, less judgmental way. But I digress… back to raising the frequency! For me, it starts with the willingness to see and love all parts of yourself. I’ve viscerally experienced what happens when you allow the low vibe, low frequency parts you’ve been hiding to be seen and unconditionally loved. Self-love takes root. You begin to respect yourself in ways you never thought possible, and when you respect yourself, an inherent respect for others takes root. That’s when the ascended Self can emerge from the depths of your being. It isn’t a calling down from the Heavens of an infusion of Divine frequencies… it’s more an allowing of the truth of who you are to rise up from… well, the Feminine. This takes us back for a sec to the conversation of the feminine, masculine and androgynous. I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating… the feminine is the core of our being – the black hole portal we all stream through to come into this 3D world. And once we’re here, she’s the one who pulls in everything that wants to be birthed through us. See her as the Communication Portal through which your Higher Self lets you know what’s up. What has real meaning for you. Your values and the true nature of your being. The individual contribution you came to add to the One. In Hawaiian wisdom, she is the LEADER of the masculine. She supplies the dream, and he exists to liberate her dreams. To bring them into the form. Ideally, our internal masculine operates in response to her guidance. He’s wholly sovereign and chooses how he does it, but there is a deep recognition of her and humility in allowing himself to be led. Which, if you think about it, is totally antithetical to the way we perceive masculine energy. So often, they are portrayed as the leaders of our world while the feminine is meant to cower in a corner and hope some strapping young lad wants to marry her and keep her safe. Sound familiar? Like, every single fairy tale ever written. Don’t get me started. I mean, what if the REAL fairy tale is the truth that we are all meant to “save” ourselves simply by becoming the most authentic, self-realized, FREE version of ourselves… just a thought. Back to ascension… It’s the blending and merging of these two energies that births the ascended, androgynous Self. Ohhhh… androgynous? What do I mean by that? Am I talking about some sort of gender identification? Nope. I’m talking about the Divine Union of our polar energies into one sacred spark of life. The realized Self. Just as in our outer world it takes masculine and feminine to birth a third entity we call a baby, it’s the same internally. This is the purpose of our masculine and feminine energy. Not so one can have dominion over the other, but so the perfected spark of Divinity can be reborn in this human flesh. (Sidenote: Ladies, let’s be clear… we’ve had our time of dominating the masculine. Yep. We did it way back when. It was just so long ago, and we’ve probably had a cataclysm or two since then, so we don’t remember.
