As veterans of our DIY scene, Arcadia Grey are a band we've wanted on the show for quite some time so it's only fitting that they're our guest for this milestone episode. Nat gives us the full Arcadia Grey lore, from high school to adulthood, from Konami Code to Septum Ring, this one is for the real Arcadia Grey heads. I met Nat here in LA a couple months ago and publicly harassed them to come on the show until they agreed while we were at the merch table LOL. We talk about this tour with Dear Maryanne, Equipment, Pretty Bitter, Cheem, Dear Cincinnati and others, as well as the bands experience playing fest over the years.     149. Skiimo: Working with Cory Castro, Denver DIY and I Think You Should Leave | Emo Kids Anonymous

    Welcome to EKA149! Today we're joined by Skiimo out of Denver Colorado! This interview was a long time comin'! Skiimo were originally supposed to be on in December of last year but had to cancel last minute. I was supposed to see Skiimo here in SoCal a few weeks later, but I wasn't able to make it. Finally, 6 months later we get a chance to meet. During this conversation with Bryson and Zack, we talk about the bands separate origins in the midwest, moving to Denver, and starting the band. These fellas keep busy. Late last year they released their first full length album Nothing Ever Changes and we talk all about the making of that as well as the two EPs they released before it (all in a 14 or so month span? sheesh).     Welcome to EKA 147! Today we are joined by not just one guest, but TWO as we have Gunk Lunk AND Dr. Dew. For the uninitiated, Gunk Lung is an Iowa emo band and Dr. Dew is a social media platform artist who creates a wide range of content but we share a mutual love for mountain dew. First up, Gunk Lunk gives us the rundown on the state of the band, the local DIY scene, their favorite Alkaline Trio records, and what we can expect from them going forward.
