Boundaries, Burnout & WTF Is Happening to us?

As I was recording today's Podcast Episode with a special guest, about an hour in, she disappeared and with her did the recording. Ironically we talked about our love hate relationship with technology. And since that Episode was not going to happen , this was meant to be today's topic. In a world where we're constantly connected, notified, interrupted, and expected to respond instantly, protecting your peace has become an act of rebellion. In this episode of Her Gypsy Rebel, I talk about boundaries, technology overload, stress, people-pleasing, and how to reclaim your time, attention, and sanity when everything around you feels chaotic. Being reachable doesn't mean being available.Your phone doesn't get to dictate your life. You don't owe anyone an immediate response.Boundaries aren't rude—they protect your energy.Constant stimulation can leave you mentally exhausted.Create technology-free zones in your day.Give yourself permission to disconnect without guilt.Learn to recognize when YOU are creating your own overwhelm. What you consume consumes you, be selective.Protecting your fkn peace.Let Ease and Fun be the strategy.Sometimes the most rebellious thing you can do is simply say: “Enough.” "No More" And remember to have that loving self-talk. Write you script, the story, the life, the movie you want to star and live in. EP 64 A Big Mess for The Tampa Rose "Rebel Riot Auction Animal Rescue" Dress

As a dog mom, and a big time animal lover, my dream has always been to build an animal mansion. And while I'm bringing this vision to life, one baby step at a time, combining my passion for music with saving strays and shelter dogs. Every show I'm playing, I'm creating a piece of art, live on stage that will be auctioned off to support a rescue group in efforts to help them save more dogs. In todays Episode, I'm sharing my experience, playing my first solo show of the year in Tampa and shedding a bit more light on the situation we are currently in. 1. Why not to donate money to a shelter - instead use gift cards to ensure it goes directly to the animals 2. Do your due diligence before supporting a rescue organization and shelter to make sure they are actually doing great work 3. If you see something, say something. Report animal abuse, neglect or if you see a stray directly to your local animal control and sheriff 4. Be a responsible pet owner. Owning a pet means a lifetime commitment. A pet is not a toy and should never be a birthday gift. Before committing, the entire family should be in agreement to take full responsibility and make time for the new family member. 5. Make sure your pet is wearing a collar with a name and number, and it is chipped. 6. Spay and neuter your pets! Enter the Raffle to help save a stray and get a chance to win the stage dress, the 1st one. https://pinkstarmusic.com/the-rescue-riot

EP 61 SURRENDERED To DEATH ROW - ANIMAL SHELTERS - The Harsh Truth with Sherr from LA ANIMAL SERVICES

I'm excited to speak with a dear friend of mine who is the very reason BOLT is in my life. Sherr has worked and volunteered in the Shelters in LA for most of her life, and has dedicated her life to speak for those without a voice. Some takeaways from today's Episode 1. Adopt don't shop - you can find your desired breed in a shelter 2. A pet is not a toy you can return when bored, it's a part of the family 3. Chip your dog and have him/her wear a collar with your important information on it, name and number 4. If you lose your pet contact the local shelter, flyer your neighborhood and town, reach out on facebook post on Lost and Found groups, shelters and rescues in your area 5. Spay and neuter your pets 6. A shelter pet is in danger of euthanization, young or old 7. Shelters are overcrowded , understaffed and overworked, it's a stressful environment for the pets 8. Fireworks are horrifying for the pets and the 4th of July is the biggest intake day of the year - hundreds of pets get lost due to negligence by owner - keep your pet inside, play loud music and make sure all windows and doors are locked. 9. You see something, say something 10. You find an injured pet or stray call the local sherrif and animal control 11. Support shelters if you can by donating and/or volunteering 12. Be mindful & remember together we can make a difference Book me for a house party to support a local rescue http://www.pinkstarmusic.com Shop in my store for products I trust and use https://amzn.to/4y0mvsK
