If I compute I'm not a computer and 17th century term

In the podcast episode 'Your Mind Is Not Like A Computer,' Henry Griffin delves into the comparison between the human mind and computers, starting from historical insights up to philosophical perspectives. Griffin stresses that, while there is a tendency to link our brains to computers, such a metaphor may be oversimplified and misleading. Unlike computers operating on binary code, our minds function through a complex interplay of biological processes making them notably spontaneous and creative. Griffin accentuates that humans possess self-consciousness and have the capacity for organic learning, which computers lack. He emphasizes that while advancements in technology thread to blur this line, it is essential to appreciate the unique complexities of the human mind.
