    Rob Ager is a legendary film analyst who creates videos on YouTube. We discuss whether Stanley Kubrick intended to warn about the horrors of Epstein Island with his film Eyes Wide Shut. We talk about whether modern cinema has pushed the limits of 2020s technology and storytelling to produce an innovative classic, and if the internet has yet produced a work of art that will be revered alongside the great films of the past century. We explore the effects information technologies have had on people's perceptions of the world and what forces in society work to manipulate them. This leads into a conversation about if living in a post-truth society is a modern phenomenon or a historical constant. We talk about the recent document release regarding UAPs/UFOs from the United States government and how much of the subject is the result of legitimate anomalies or intelligence agency-ran psy-ops. We end with Rob reflecting on certain pieces he has encountered at the Kubrick Archive and how they have affected his interpretations of films like The Shining and A Clockwork Orange.     Dr. Edward Mihalkanin is an associate professor of political science at Texas State University. His research interests include US foreign policy and international relations theory. Our new podcast "Slouching Towards Armageddon" comes out Wednesday, April 9th. I'd like to apologize upfront- there are some audio issues with this episode. Wild echo. I'll have that fixed by the next one. The music is from a voice memo of a chord progression I thought worth recording on November 9th, 2023. In the future I'll have a proper theme song figured out, so for now I'm going to empty loose recordings I have on my phone.
