Episode 34- From Overwhelmed to Accepting Herself: Cortney’s Coaching Transformation

Send us Fan Mail I’m so excited for you to meet my client and friend, Cortney. Cortney and I have worked together for a while, and I wanted her on the podcast because I think so many women will see themselves in her story. For a long time, Cortney took care of everyone else and put herself last. Taking care of herself wasn’t something she grew up seeing modeled, so honestly, self-care felt pretty foreign to her. Then her husband saw how much she was struggling with her mental and physical health and told her it was time to be her version of selfish. And that’s when she created her “Year of Cortney.” She started making herself a priority. She figured out how to actually fit self-care into her real life and, maybe just as importantly, learned that taking care of herself wasn’t going to make the people she loved upset with her. We also talked about what she’s learned when life doesn’t go as planned. Things still happen, but Cortney has gotten much better at not letting one hard moment turn into weeks or months of feeling knocked down. One of the things I loved hearing her talk about was what coaching gave her: time that was just for her. A place to slow down, talk things through, and have someone in her corner. She also found something she had really been missing through my women’s groups—the chance to connect with other women and feel like she wasn’t doing everything on her own. This conversation is a really honest look at Cortney’s journey, what has changed for her, and what it can look like when you finally decide that you get to be part of your own life, too. ✨ If this episode resonated with you, I’d love to hear from you! Screenshot this episode, share it to your stories, and tag me so we can keep the conversation going 💛 And if you know you are ready to for more support, I invite you to book a Free connection call.  A Connection Call is a real conversation about what’s been feeling stuck, heavy, or frustrating in your life right now. You already have a pretty good sense of what’s going on. You do not need someone to tell you that. What you need is support to actually shift it. We’ll talk through the patterns, habits, thoughts, or emotions that keep showing up, what’s been draining you, and what you want to feel instead. This is where we get honest about what’s happening and start looking at it in a different way. You’ll leave with actual tools, more clarity, and a better sense of what needs to change so you can stop spinning and start moving forward. You’ve tried it all. Now it’s time for something different. Book the call, and let’s get to work. ✨ https://scheduler.zoom.us/allison-meyer-coaching/coaching-session.

Episode-33: The Art of Speaking Up

Send us Fan Mail How often do you keep something to yourself because it feels easier than saying what you really think? Maybe you don’t want to upset someone. Maybe you don’t want to be difficult. Or maybe you’re just used to keeping the peace. But speaking up doesn’t have to mean being confrontational. Sometimes it’s simply saying what you need, what you want, or how you really feel. And there’s something really freeing about knowing you can speak up and still be okay—even if someone else doesn’t love what you have to say. That’s what today’s episode of On the Other Side is about: The Art of Speaking Up. 🎧 Give it a listen. 💛 xo, Allison ✨ If this episode resonated with you, I’d love to hear from you! Episode-32: You know everyone’s story. But who knows yours?

Send us Fan Mail You know everyone’s story. But who knows yours? If you’re the one everyone comes to—the one who listens, remembers the details, asks the questions, and makes sure everyone else is okay—this episode is for you. Because sometimes being the person everyone trusts means you rarely get to be the person who gets heard. We’re talking about what happens when you’re so used to taking care of everyone else that you forget you’re allowed to need support, too. And why having someone truly listen to you—without rushing to fix, advise, or move on—can be so powerful. You don’t need another person telling you what you should do. Sometimes you just need a place to say it all out loud and hear yourself again. Let’s talk about what it looks like to let yourself be supported, take up a little more space, and remember that your story matters, too. ✨ If this episode resonated with you, I’d love to hear from you! Send us Fan Mail What would change if you trusted yourself a little more? Trusted your decisions. Trusted what you want. Trusted that you can handle whatever comes next. You don’t need to have every answer or get everything right. Self-trust is knowing you can count on yourself along the way. Send us Fan Mail What if you stopped waiting for things to be different before you let yourself feel good? You don’t need to wait for the kids to be older, work to slow down, your schedule to clear, or everything to finally feel “settled.” Your life is happening right now. And you’re allowed to enjoy it now. That’s what today’s episode of On the Other Side is about: Stop Waiting to Feel Good About Your Life. 🎧 Give it a listen and see where you might be waiting for “someday” instead of letting yourself enjoy today. 💛 xo, Allison ✨ If this episode resonated with you, I’d love to hear from you!
