Conversation or Interrogation? The Great Communication Debate! | Heart to Heart Hangout

**CONVERSATION OR INTERROGATION? YOU DECIDE! 😂** When someone calls you just to talk, should they already have something to say—or is asking questions how you get a good conversation started? Terrence and Grace have VERY different opinions, and we need YOU to help settle this debate! Terrence believes asking questions shows genuine interest and helps keep a conversation going. Grace says if YOU called HER, you should already have something to talk about—not put her through a 21-question interview! And just wait until you hear what happens when Grace goes through the coffee drive-thru and employees keep asking if she wants anything else! 😂 **IN THIS EPISODE:** - Small talk vs. meaningful conversation - Why some people love asking questions while others find them irritating - Introverts, extroverts, and different communication styles - When asking questions helps someone open up - Respecting personal boundaries and preferences - Growing together through more than 20 years of friendship - Why seeking counseling and caring for your mental health shouldn't carry a stigma What begins as a hilarious disagreement turns into a meaningful conversation about friendship, communication, personal growth, and learning to respect people who see things differently. **NOW IT'S YOUR TURN TO WEIGH IN!** 🔵 **TEAM TERRENCE:** Asking questions shows you care! A conversation is a two-way street. 🔴 **TEAM GRACE:** If YOU called ME, get to the point! I didn't sign up for an interrogation! **WHO'S RIGHT?** Tell us in the comments: 1. Are you Team Terrence or Team Grace? 2. Why do you agree with that perspective? 3. Does your answer change depending on who's calling you? We want to hear your experiences, opinions, and even your disagreements. You might help us see something we haven't considered! **ABOUT HEART TO HEART HANGOUT** Join Terrence and Grace for authentic conversations, different perspectives, unexpected laughter, and meaningful discussions about life, relationships, personal growth, and everything in between. We don't always agree, but we believe there's value in listening, learning, and growing together. Subscribe and join the conversation! 📚 **ALSO MENTIONED IN THIS EPISODE: INNOCENT GUILT** As our conversation turns to personal growth and changing perspectives, Terrence and Grace revisit a discussion they had years ago about his novel, *Innocent Guilt*, and how differently they see things today. Do I Have an Undiagnosed ADHD Superpower?

Could you live more than five decades without realizing your brain may work differently? In this episode of *Heart to Heart Hangout*, Grace and I have an unscripted conversation that started with one question: **Could I have undiagnosed ADHD?** I started connecting some dots — difficulty concentrating in noisy environments, needing information presented a certain way, getting deeply absorbed in creative projects, struggling to process information in certain situations, and realizing that some of the ways I have learned to function may be more significant than I ever considered. Grace shares from her own experience with ADHD, including being diagnosed as an adult, and what starts as me throwing observations at her turns into a much bigger conversation about creativity, learning, neurodivergence, self-advocacy, patience…and grace. And somewhere along the way, somebody gets convicted enough to apologize. 😂 This is not a diagnosis, and we are not medical professionals trying to diagnose anyone. It is simply an honest conversation about noticing how differently people process the world — and why those differences deserve understanding rather than shame. Sometimes what looks like somebody “not listening,” “not getting it,” or “doing things differently” may have a story behind it that you cannot see. Maybe the bigger takeaway is not whether your brain fits a particular label. Maybe it is learning to understand yourself better — and give other people a little more grace. Welcome to *Heart to Heart Hangout* — real conversations, real laughs, and sometimes a little truth sneaks up on us. #HeartToHeartHangout #ADHD #AdultADHD #Neurodivergent #GiveGrace

We’re Back! Choosing Realness Over Perfection | Heart to Heart Hangout

We’re back—and this time, we’re leaving perfection at the door. Welcome to Heart to Heart Hangout: unedited, unscripted, and completely real. No carefully rehearsed lines. No elaborate production. Just two longtime friends with a brother-and-sister bond, turning on the camera and letting the conversation unfold the same way it would if no one else were listening. Grace kept her bonnet on. Terrence showed up in his undershirt. And somehow, what began as an attempt to test the technology turned into the show. In this conversation, we talk about why people may be hungrier for authenticity than polished presentations, the pressure to look and sound perfect, vulnerability in leadership, and what it means to let people see the person behind the role. We also explore faith, empathy, religious language, and how Jesus met people where they were—including His deeply personal conversation with the woman at the well. He knew her story without using it to shame her. What if more people experienced that same combination of truth, grace, and compassion from us? This is Heart to Heart Hangout. We hope it doesn’t simply feel like you’re watching a show. We hope it feels like you’re hanging out with friends.
