    Newcastle & Sunderland MISERY, Brighton Smash FIVE! | PL GW7 Review

    Two clubs. Two defeats. Not a single goal between them. What a lovely weekend to record a football podcast. 😭 Shane is joined by Jeff, Dan and Josh 2 to go through the Premier League’s Gameweek 7 action — and Newcastle and Sunderland have certainly given us plenty to complain about! ⚫⚪ Newcastle lose 1-0 at home to Aston Villa — after the Coventry disaster, we were hoping for a response. Preferably one that involved scoring a goal and getting some points. 🔴⚪ Sunderland go down 2-0 at Bournemouth — another blank, another defeat and another weekend to forget. At least neither side can enjoy the other’s misery without being reminded of their own. 😂 Can we just bring the international break back? Elsewhere, we get into: 🖐️ Brighton batter Crystal Palace 5-0 — imagine waiting all week for your rivalry game and THAT happening 🔵 Man City beat Ipswich 3-2 — five goals at the Etihad and a much closer scoreline than City fans would have wanted 🔴 Liverpool win 2-1 at Brentford — three points to help put last week’s City defeat behind them 💪 Chelsea beat Everton 2-0 — back-to-back wins and a clean sheet this time 🤝 Leeds and Manchester United draw 1-1 — honours even at Elland Road 🌳 Arsenal edge past Nottingham Forest 1-0 — another three points for the Gunners 🐯 Fulham beat Hull 1-0 at Craven Cottage Goals elsewhere.     Another weekend of Premier League football, another chance for our predictions to come back and haunt us! 😂 Shane is joined by Jeff, Andy and Josh 2 to preview every Gameweek 7 fixture, predict the scores and decide who’s taking all three points.     Liverpool Mauled By The Cheaters, Chelsea Hit FIVE & Dan’s Sunderland Verdict! | PL GW6 Review

    Three weeks without Premier League football… and THIS is what we come back to! 😳 Shane is joined by Jeff, Dan and Josh 2 to go through all the weekend’s action as the Premier League finally returns from the international break. 🏟️ Dan was at the Stadium of Light for Sunderland v Brighton, so he gives us his thoughts after a frustrating 2-0 defeat. After scoring three at the Etihad and still losing last time out, there wasn’t even a goal to celebrate this week… Elsewhere, we get into: 🔵 Man City hammer Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield — three goals, a clean sheet and a miserable afternoon for the home crowd! 🔥 Chelsea put FIVE past Bournemouth — battered by Brentford before the break, dishing it out themselves after it 🔴 Arsenal beat Leeds 2-1 to bounce back from their Brighton nightmare 🤝 Manchester United and Spurs draw 1-1 — a point apiece at Old Trafford 🦅 Crystal Palace beat Nottingham Forest 3-1 🚜 Ipswich take all three points against Fulham with a 2-1 win 🐝 Aston Villa and Brentford share four goals in a 2-2 draw 🍬 Hull and Everton also finish 2-2, rounding off a busy weekend And before anyone asks… ⚫⚪ This episode was recorded BEFORE Newcastle lost to Coventry.     Introducing Rank & Reveal — a brand-new game from Who’s Listening. Shane takes the host’s chair while the lads are given 10 Premier League central midfielders to rank — but there’s a catch. The players are revealed one at a time, and once a decision has been made, there’s no going back.     Man City 5-3 Sunderland CHAOS, Newcastle Hold On & Arsenal SMASHED! | PL GW5 Review

    Gameweek 5 is done — and the Premier League has given us plenty to talk about before disappearing for what feels like an eternity for the international break! Shane is joined by Jeff, Dan and Josh 2 to go through every game from the weekend, including two matches we experienced a little differently this week. 📺 Shane, Dan and Josh 2 watched Manchester City v Sunderland together on our live watchalong — and they certainly picked the right game. Sunderland went to the Etihad and scored THREE, with Brian Brobbey grabbing a Premier League hat-trick, but somehow still came away empty-handed as Man City won an incredible 5-3 thriller. Meanwhile, Shane was at St James' Park as Newcastle beat Hull City 2-1. Newcastle flew out of the blocks with two early goals, missed a penalty and then had to hang on as Hull piled on the pressure late in the game.
