The Dolly Parton Tribute and Mailbag Questions Podcast

Paul John Hausleben starts out with the noble goal of clearing out the PJH mailbag, but in true Jean Shepherd fashion, he gets delightfully side-tracked—and honestly, that’s where the magic happens! After reflecting on the recent passing of the legendary Dolly Parton, Pauly dives into a heartfelt tribute to her music, her life, and her incredible Imagination Library charity. As a fellow author and shameless book nerd, it’s a cause right after his own heart. Next up, he finally tackles those listener questions, covering everything from the music that he listens to in the PJH Writing Command Center, to his favorite book characters and scenes from his own books. To cap it all off, Pauly fields a surprise question that uncovers a secret passion he’s never mentioned on the show before: gardening! The Magic of Radio. Part 5

#27 in the net and making saves! Unleashing his passion! Paul John Hausleben’s true love has always been radio. He makes that very clear, and despite his label of having lived “a thousand lives” and performing a seemingly endless number of vocations to earn a few coins, if asked, he will prefer the label of “a radioman.” Recent very important and impactful events in the radio world have not gone unnoticed by PJH. In this podcast episode, which continues the “Magic of Radio” series, Paulie educates the listening audience on these events and his concerns about the potential impact thereof. The listener should prepare for an education in the true purpose of radio, as well as an envelopment of the passion that Paul feels for these events and decisions, as well as his love for the Magic of Radio, too. If you are a lover or listener of radio or not, or never even thought of radio before, this episode has lessons for everyone, and the points our host makes are valid and informative, too. The podcast contains one of Pauly’s iconic quotes. “If you never experienced old-time radio years ago—then you will never understand or appreciate what you are missing now.” Tune in now!
