Only thing excruciating is the terribly opinionated take on such a significant historical event. Very liberal and nuanced.

Awful regardless of affiliation

They start out injecting their political views & conclusions from the first minute. “I’m really obsessed so I read a lot of academic papers. There’s a group of people who all believe exactly the same thing & have been lying for 160 years. Everything they say is pushing a narrative of misinformation I don’t agree with & I am going to save you from those liars who whitewashed history because they didn’t condemn the south the way I do” When you start with that premise, you are the one pushing a political narrative & spreading disinformation. You’re doing exactly what you accused this mythical “other side” of doing.
