Unfolding - Connecting the Dots of Midlife with Human Design

Erica Voell

Unfolding is a podcast for women in midlife who want to understand themselves and the people they love better using Human Design. If you’ve been the peacekeeper in your family? Do you say yes in the moment, only to regret your decision later? There is a reason behind both of these, and it has nothing to do with something being wrong with you. On the podcast, I share stories from my own life and from women who share about their own patterns, and the families we’re trying to understand. You don’t need to know your Human Design chart to follow along. When I asked twenty people what changed once they understood even one part of their Human Design, they all said some version of the same thing: “There is nothing wrong with me.” The other thing I hear again and again: “It gave me permission to just be me.” I’m Erica Voell, a Human Design guide for women in midlife. Before that, I was a children’s librarian for nineteen years. You can find more of my writing and workshops at ericavoell.com.

    Relationships & Human Design

You’re frustrated when a family member always gives you unsolicited advice. You feel like your parenting skills are lacking. You wonder why your body doesn’t fit the schedules set by society. And the way you were taught to make decisions might not fit your body, so expecting your kid or partner to decide the same way isn’t how they work. This is the first episode in a season on relationships and Human Design. Erica walks through the three areas of the chart she starts with when she looks at relationships: type, decision-making, and centers. Clients get why they feel different, and they start to understand their partners and kids. In this episode The parenting advice that never worked with her daughterA client who had an aha with one piece of information from her daughter’s chartWhat shifted when Erica looked at her sister’s and mom’s designs, and why they never knewType: why your energy, or someone in your family’s, doesn’t fit the 9 to 5 schedule that work and school were built aroundDecision-making: how not everyone is meant to make quick decisions, and how her daughter learning to sleep on her decisions saved so much moneyCenters: a client’s session on how her partner and kid affect herWhat the season covers, and what it doesn’t * AI Transparency note: AI assisted in writing the show notes --- Start to Connect the Dots: Learn about the Dot Connection Session Follow me on Substack: https://substack.com/@ericavoell Connect with me: erica[at]ericavoell[dot]com Follow me on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ericavoell.coaching/
