I’m Mark Sinclair, your host, and I am genuinely grateful to be back with you. After some time away, I felt the pull to return and share the incredible stories of those pursuing their passions. The Journey Back I’ve taken a moment to reflect on my path and the voices I’ve had the privilege to share. My absence was not without reason; I struggled with the idea of sharing these stories on social media and felt I was letting my guests down by not reaching a wider audience. However, I realized that stepping away was easier than facing those challenges. Inspired to Return What reignited my passion was Mel Robbins’ book, "Let Them". She shared how she went two years without social media while building her podcast. This revelation encouraged me to give myself grace. A friend mentioned missing my podcast, and it struck a chord — I knew it was time to return. Lessons from the Past During this journey, I also discovered the work of Rob Dial, who emphasizes the stories we tell ourselves and where they originate. My upbringing instilled in me certain beliefs about security and safety, but I learned that sometimes, those very beliefs hold us back from pursuing our true passions. "The story we tell ourselves day in and day out are the stories we're living." — Rob DialReflecting on my own life, I realized how often fear of failure has kept me from sharing my voice and my work, like the book I wrote during COVID that remains unpublished. I’m ready to change that. A New Format I’m excited to announce that I’ll be continuing to interview individuals with inspiring stories who have taken risks to create fulfilling lives. It’s crucial to me to share voices that go beyond the mundane, and I want to make sure we all learn from their journeys. Gratitude and Future Plans Before I wrap up, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you who have supported me. I recently achieved a milestone of 1,000 downloads, with listeners from places I never imagined. This has fueled my fire to keep going.
