    When Victory Becomes Everyday Life

    We know that we have victory in Christ—but what does that victory actually look like on an ordinary Tuesday morning? In Part 2 of our series on living victoriously, Paul and Rebecca Turner get into the nuts and bolts of what it means to actually LIVE the victorious life God has provided for us. Victorious living begins with a mental shift: recognizing who we are in Christ and understanding that our identity and our victory are not determined by what happens to us in this life. That changes the way we face difficult circumstances, disappointments, temptation, conflict, failure, and even the ordinary frustrations of everyday life. But recognizing our victory is only the beginning. Scripture calls us to make choices—to put to death those things that belong to the old life and to live according to the identity God has given us in Christ. We don't have to be controlled by old habits, old thinking, fear, anger, bitterness, insecurity, or the opinions of others. We can choose to live out the victory we already have. God doesn't simply want us to know that we are victorious someday. He wants us to live in the victory He has provided today. And why? Because He loves us, and victorious living brings glory to Him. What would change if you began looking at your job, your marriage, your family, your struggles, your relationships, your failures, and your everyday decisions through the reality that you are already victorious in Christ? Victorious living isn't about pretending that life is easy. It's about living with the confidence that whatever happens in this life cannot change who you are in Christ or take away the victory He has already given you. So make the mental shift. Make the choice. Put to death what needs to die. Live in loyalty to the One who gave you the victory. Don't just know that you have the victory. Live it. Live in His all-consuming grace.

    Victory Before Eternity

    Built to Weather the Storm: The Purpose of the Family (Part 2)

    In Part 2 of our series on The Purpose of the Family, Paul moves beyond God's blueprint in Genesis to discover the incredible purpose behind His design. After reviewing the four foundational elements of the family found in Genesis 2:24-25, Paul explores the fascinating historical practice of undergirding a ship—a process in which large ropes were wrapped around a vessel to strengthen it before facing turbulent seas. This powerful illustration sheds light on one of the wife's unique and God-given roles within marriage: to strengthen, support, and undergird her husband as they faithfully navigate the storms of life together. In God's design, husband and wife are not competitors but partners, each fulfilling complementary roles that make the family stronger. He designed the home to be a place of permanence, security, safety, intimacy, and privacy—a refuge where children can be loved, protected, and nurtured in the truth of God's Word.
