The Return of Sno Topp. The Return of Sno Topp is a five-part satirical scripted audio series featuring Chris Elliott and Jon Hamm as his nemesis. It also features Lauren Adams (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), Brian Stack (The Tonight Show; The Late Show), Mary Birdsong (Succession; Reno 911!), and many others. When successful pediatric cardiac surgeon Dr. Richard Buchanan (Chris Elliott) is featured on a weekly, locally-produced Maryland web program, Heroes Are Everywhere, it’s discovered that he was once, briefly back in the 1990s, a masked white rapper named Sno Topp with a very X-rated local hit. Rather than feeling embarrassed, Dr. Buchanan adopts his rap moniker and gets back into rapping full time, expressing the burdens of now being a white, middle-aged suburban man. Leading him in this somewhat fruitless showbiz quest is his out-of-work Gen Z daughter (played by Chris’s real life daughter, Bridey Elliott) who encourages him to start a rap feud with another local white, middle-aged rapper, a dentist nicknamed Zach Attack (played by Jon Hamm). Giving himself one year to “make it,” Sno Topp begins a treacherous, music-drenched journey through a very low-level showbiz celebrityhood, all the while confronting many of the youthful regrets he still feels burdened by (including revisiting old lovers who once rightly spurned him). Can he succeed at fulfilling his lifelong creative dream and scratching this midlife itch that has tempted so many others? Spoiler alert: No. Coming in 2027. Hosted on Acast.
