In August of 2016, Bill Johnson of the American Decency Association sat down with Phil Haney — career Department of Homeland Security officer, whistleblower, and author of See Something, Say Nothing — for a candid conversation about national security, faith, and the future of America. This was the beginning of a month-long campaign with ADA bringing Phil to speak around the state of Michigan leading up to the 2016 election and the beginning of a close friendship with Phil which lasted until his unexpected death by gunshot in 2020. The FBI ruled it a suicide, but many of his clothes friends and family are left in doubt.Phil shared his remarkable journey from agricultural entomologist in the Middle East to becoming one of the most outspoken voices on domestic threats and government overreach.
