These days, kids' movies basically means animation — and honestly, that probably just reflects how mainstream and accessible animation has become. But growing up? Family movies meant live-action. And right at the center of that era was Spy Kids. A completely ridiculous premise played completely straight in service of family bonds — Mako was convinced there was some serious depth to unpack here. Came in fired up and ready to dig... and then got absolutely flattened by illness and the most catastrophic bout of sleepiness in podcast history 😴 The result: a slightly unfocused episode. Apologies in advance — but hey, maybe that's part of the charm? ...Seriously though.
